It's a sight to see, and they are selling items they just brought from the boats. Next door is a restaurant where you can have the most amazing and fresh seafood dishes. What I been looking forward to is a cuoppo. This is the italian word for cone. You get a paper cone filled with fried seafood. I had a mixed cone, so you get some of everything. There was shrimp, calamari, octopus, anchovies, salmon, swordfish, and little dough balls that had sea weed in them! This was my favorite stop on my food tour that day and I already can't wait to go back!

They literally sell fresh seafood in front and cooks them fresh to order. Everything we ordered were fresh and delicious. The calamari was well seasoned and portions are generous for €12. The fried anchovies was so delightful and full or umami flavor. Lastly the spaghetti with half lobster for only €20 was a steal!! It was perfectly cooked with good amounts of really lobster meat. And the entire dinner meal only costs me €49. I could have paid at least $150 for this is the US. Highly recommend this whenever your visit Napoli!!

This was our second dinner in Napoli. The first was at a poorly chosen sea front establishment…read more(different review). We stumbled upon O'Chiase walking from our hotel seeking a quality seafood meal. It is a small, six table restaurant in an alley that is too easy to miss. They don't speak english well but work hard to help you understand the menu. They are very nice and very patient with someone, like me, that should know at least a little more Italiano. We were not at all disappointed with our meal. We started with a mixed seafood plate appetizer for the table. It was great. Everything tasted fresh and was cooked properly. The calamari was still tender and delicious. Next was a plated of clams for my wife and daughters. Pasta with clams for my enjoyment. Wow. I can't relate just how great the pasta was. I ate it as slowly as possible to savor the flavor. My wife asked for extra bread to mop up the juices from her clams she liked it so much. I am glad we made this stop. This is the Napoli we were looking for because when you're in Italy it is first and foremost about the food.
I never write reviews but made an account just for this. The food is the main issue and is…read moredisappointing in all honesty, an absolutely beautiful seaside restaurant close to Naples that serves elegant, ON PAPER, seafood dishes with fish like swordfish, cod, catfish, shell fish and octopus and more that is obviously days old from the taste wether cooked or uncooked, or a severe lack of season that can taste like nothing (how does caviar taste like hardly anything compared to the risotto it's paired with or even the one beer tasted literally watered down) or too much of it to where a single component overpowers the flavor of everything else forcing you to keep it separate. A massive overcharge on small portions for the meals because they try to come off as a fancy cuisine doing decorations with sauces and flowers meanwhile I can make a better tasting fish from a grocery store days from the ocean with just butter and salt. When you take a peak in their kitchen from the door you see tubs and tubs of premade ingredients and sauces dated from the beginning (or even prior probably) week. it may be different during peak hours but on a normal Thursday night not even an hour into dinner service they have 1 single cook/chef doing all the work and two front house staff that disappear or are going on their phones in a way that seems to try and avoid you. The whole experience gave the impression of a restaurant past its prime and only falling more and more from complacency. I'm no culinary expert but from working 3 years in a restaurant in AZ I believe this place could be so much more but fails due to what seems like negligence and monetary greed. At least this is all the impression we got from visiting on a Thursday afternoon not even an hour into dinner service (around 20:00) with only two other tables (only 2-3 people) there with one not even ordering food (don't blame them) TLDR - the risotto was good - The seafood items (fish, calamari, octopus, shellfish)for a seaside restaurant was either old or overpriced for what was given - The drinks are simple but overpriced or marked up cheap alcohol - The kitchen seems understaffed, cutting corners for a restaurant that tries to appeal as high end cuisine ( random take but having worked in a restaurant's kitchen bothers me the most ) - portions are small while trying to appear fancy with decorative items and sauces while being nothing notable - the building itself is very beautiful and creative in design but is contrary in nature to the food served
