OK I have 2 admissions to make before I begin this review
1. I get the occasional spray tan just like you might indulge in retail therapy or sink a carton of piss. Sometimes I just need it to lift my spirits
2. I am standing up naked writing this review
I have just returned from getting a Spray Tan at this new establishment (which looks absolutely divine inside - the massage rooms are spacious with candles, fairy lights and lovely fixtures)
I'm not an expert on Spray Tans despite admission 1. but am confident in saying that they should be applied evenly. This process is achieved 50% by the "consultant" and 50% by the quality of the spraying machine.
As I stood there, the tan dribbled down in darker runs - running down my legs like a cup of too-full cherry cola.
I pointed this out to the technician (using this term loosely) and she said
"Its because you're sweating"
I said, "Excuse me? I've just had a shower, I'm in an air conditioned room, I'm NOT sweating"
"Yeah, nah, it's cos you're sweating"
Whether the tan works out or not - as I stand here naked hoping to dry it off and not let any be rubbed off- I won't be back to this place because the woman wouldn't admit that her technique or machinery was at fault.
Have you had this experience where the attitude of the establishment negated any product or service your received? Discuss.
PS I don't sweat! read more
