They would need to see the battery. I told them I could tell the battery type over the phone but they insisted that they would need to see it in person. This didn't make sense but I drove to their store to check anyway. I walked in and told them the battery I needed, as I had on the phone... and they immediately told me that they had them in stock without looking and told me the price...which was almost 3 times price listed online. I recently changed out the dead lead-acid batteries from my UPS and was looking for a place to dispose of them. Did not want to toss in the trash, did not want to go on a day trip to find a place. O'Reilly's will take used lead-acid batteries for recycling. There is a little money in it for them. They may also give a small rebate for certain kinds of batteries, but these were too small to quality. Just glad to get rid of them, guilt-free.

They are not good on their warranty. Bought battery for my Honda. Original lasted over one year,…read morebad cell according to Auto Zone, went back to Advantage after they had charged it overnite (so they said they did), no choice, ended up with 'new' battery. Well, that one lasted only 40 days. Took to Auto Zone to test it. Came back as 'bad battery'. Advantage wants to charge my 2nd battery from them again. But tells me WILL NOT REPLACE MY BATTERY no matter the outcome, that told me the reason they won't is because there is something in my car making my battery go bad. How would they know that? It's a five year battery. Don't go there. They make the rules as they go on! Told them to kiss my grits. Will never spend my money with them again!! Warranty is more important than saving a few bucks!!
