I originally had recommendations to go to another restaurant, a ten minute walk away from my hotel and because of the rain decided I'd stop at Buattas as I passed by drenched the atmosphere caught my attention. The food was wonderful but what kept me coming back was the bartenders. I sat at the bar and on my 1st night I watched him make a delicious looking cocktail for someone else. When I asked for the cocktail menu he shook his head no and then pointed to his temple. He proceeded to ask what flavors I like. I ended up having a gin based drink that tasted like blueberry cobbler. Absolutely amazing. I returned another night with a colleague and she preferred dry drinks. He made her a vodka based drink with a hint of pomegranate. I also enjoyed on the other nights a fig caipirinha, English mojito and an avocado mojito. The place stays busy but the service was quick relatively speaking. The pear salad is a generous portion, the fries cooked in bacon grease are delicious and the cunzatizzi Tuccu was good.
