The Risotto was his absolute favorite meal he's eaten during our entire trip so far. We visited News Cafe on Sunday & Monday evenings which resulted in the above review. However, Tuesday we went at noon & talk about a different story. The two female waitresses were absolutely rude. We arrived & ordered drinks first, I ordered on Aperol Spritz, hubby hot breakfast tea & water for the third person in our group. What we got was nothing we ordered, I got a fizzy apple juice (tasted but did not drink, it was gross similar to sparkling apple juice in the states) hubby got earl grey which he didn't care for either. The servers avoided our table like we had the plague. No it was not busy. We finally got someone to return to the table I reordered my Aperol Spritz & was actually asked if I wanted it with wine or prosecco, prosecco it was. I asked for the daily special (tomato soup with mixed green salad) and was informed I couldn't make up menu items. Said I wanted the tomato soup, it was tasty obviously freshly made. The guys ordered fries & once again received rude looks & eye rolling. After finishing our snacks we decided that if this had been our first experience we never would have returned. If you want a great experience at News Cafe go on the weekend/evenings when Aleks is working you won't be disappointed.
