Some rooms are non smoking and some rooms has cigarette smoke smell left. A lot of guests has complaint to her about the smoke smell. The room I booked was non smoking and turned to be a strong cigarette smoke inside the room. Tried to change a room but nothing possible. Lady at the reception said yes you can't change and then said yes you can change if you pay more double price. Couldn't pay any double price because hotel was already expensive (not a budget choice) and no mention about smoker room. Couldn't stay. First time visiting this city and not coming back never. Lost money but luckily found another non smoking hotel. Never back. Niente non funzionato qui perché donna difficile a reception e loro hanno una camera per me piena di fumo di cigarette. Ho allergia di cigarette e non posso essere a camera piena di fumo. Ho pagato una camera pulito ma visto che era camera per fumatore. Si loro hanno anche camere senza fumo ma devo pagare più e non pagato ho gia pagato troppo per la camera senza fumo che era per fumatore. Ho perso soldi e sicuramente non ritorno più a Kiel. Anche altri hanno esperienze simile.

Really large room (in a corner), with a huge 70's look (somehow nice) and lots of windows with an overview to the Holstenplatz and the new Rathaus. Breakfast buffet is quite good and diverse, and a good plus for the panoramic view from the 10th level. As I booked my room on the hotel website directly, minibar and parking were for free, good to know! Personal at the reception friendly and answering all questions about Kiel. On the minus side I'll say a ridiculous small TV (30cm), impossible to watch from the bed 5m away, and there was a hole in one of the bedsheet
