The ladies that tidied up our room were so friendly and interested in where we were coming from. I was equally interested. They came from all over. Madagascar (Edwage, my favorite), Spain, and Africa. The young girl that attended to the breakfast buffet had a permanent smile and sweet demeanor. It was nice to wake up to that each morning. Speaking of breakfast.. .filling and fresh. Hard boiled eggs, cheeses, croissants, baguettes, an array of ham and prosciutto, pickles, fresh juices, coffee, teas, and ice cold water. However, some remodeling has been done to update just enough that you still get the old, classic feel of the hotel while enjoying modern-day amenities like a nice bathroom and TV. I enjoyed the feel of this hotel because much of it was left like it was in the 19th century, including the original door keys and elevator. The rooms were a bit tight (especially if there were multiple beds), but it was a really nice kind of cozy that was luxurious. The continental breakfast was good, including an omelette bar and the prices for drinks and late-night snacks were reasonable. Each room had a mini-bar, as well, which made snacking convenient before turning out the lights. This is a really great hotel in a nice, small town. You can walk through most of Nimes from this spot and you're only about five minutes away from Les Arenes. Lots of good restaurants nearby and the hotel serves dinner if you're tired and don't feel like moving much. Highly recommended if you're ever in the area.

The rooms were clean and housekeeping kept you well supplied if you wanted their service. The hotel has charm with many nooks to just sit and read a book (there are books all over), play chess or cards, etc. I recommend this hotel without hesitance.

The hotel building itself is not modern, but the rooms have been renovated recently and are designed very well, with dashes of modern styling. They are comfortable and set up well for people who need to work while traveling, including a comfortable desk with a well-positioned plug-point. The hotel also has some nice touches, like a water dispenser that offers sparkling water, and a non-smoking floor. My only complaint was that the WiFi signal was weak (but good enough that we didn't feel compelled to leave the room and wander the halls looking for a stronger signal). WiFi setup was unfussy, so we could easily connect multiple devices and did not need constant re-authentication. The location is outstanding, half-way between the main train station and the main city square (Place de la Comédie), no more than 2-3 minutes from each. All the tram lines converge in the vicinity, so getting around is straightforward. For those attending a conference at the Corum, that's less than a (pleasant) ten minute walk away. There's a very good boulangerie just around the corner, for breakfasts. (The staff pointed me to it, and never tried to upsell me into getting the hotel's breakfast.) The staff were generally pleasant and helpful, though some were much more so than others: one lady never talked or smiled (always talking on the phone), while one gentleman was born to be a hotelier, and every interaction with him was fantastic. I would stay again at this hotel without the slightest hesitation. Indeed, I would be happy to find comparable hotels elsewhere on the continent.

Rooms are simple but well decorated and quite comfortable. Our room had a deck and seating area, which was a nice way to enjoy a glass of wine. Breakfast was served by the pool and a straight forward French breakfast: croissants, butter, jam, meats, cheese, coffee and juice. I will say that it was quite expensive in comparison to the price of the room. The location is quite good. It is 10 minutes to a shopping area and restaurants (the hotel did not have dinner while we stayed there) and is also 10 minutes to the city center.

I'm sure this experience was a blip as the hotel is truly walking distance from main attractions and has a (small) pool and rooftop terrace to enjoy Summer days.

We figured out where we could park and what information he needed to get checked in. Again, this person was super nice and patient about the entire process. Our room was a little older looking but it was nice enough for a short stay. All I cared about was its cleanness, which it was. The beds were comfortable enough and I slept like a rock. There were absolutely no noise issues at all. The tv and internet worked too, though the internet was pretty slow. The one major issue I had about this place was that our room's bathroom were in two separate rooms. The shower room was pretty tight and as tall people, we had to kind of maneuver during our shower to not to hit the wall or curtains. It was pretty cheap staying here. For the price, I didn't mind that the shower was tight or the internet was a bit slow. It was definitely a great deal staying here since the hotel is located at the heart of town. You can easily walk to all the main attractions. They don't have a parking structure so you have to park your car about 5-10 minutes away from the hotel. It was about 8 E to park there for 24 hours. Not a bad deal.

I would definitely stay here again if I could! Je suis resté à cet hôtel il y a presque trois ans. Le personnel est sympa, les tarifs sont bons, et son lieu dans le centre de Nîmes est formidable. Room has no ice bucket...back to reception again. The "restaurant" or Bistro offers three items. Burger, Salmon or a salad with grilled chicken. It's massive and looks like a real restaurant. Fooled again! Nothing like a USA Courtyard menu. Unlike every stateside Courtyard there is no place to BYO food and wine. No common seating area outside the "restaurant ". You cannot BYO into the restaurant either. The staff was helpful so it gets a third star, but put to shame by the two Best Westerns we enjoyed on our trip along the Mediterranean.

Treated us like long lost friends!! Our room was gorgeous and upgraded since we are Lifetime Titanium Elite Marriott members. The young man suggested their own restaurant for dinner as weather was horrible outside with a lot of rain. He made reservations for us which was very nice of him. Dinner was at 19:30. We were greeted by a group of nice men. Waited on promptly. We speak no French but the servers all spoke very good English. We both started with a soup, French Onion for my husband and butternut squash for me (9€ each). Both were very tasty and served with organic breads. (Sorry no photos) Our mains was salmon with risotto and mushrooms (23€) for husband and the vegetarian plate (16€) for me. Salmon was moist and a large cut. All cooked to perfection. Timing between soup and mains was very nice. Overall SURPRISINGLY good for a restaurant attached to a hotel!
