My husband and I took a friend and her husband out for dinner here last week to celebrate a birthday. We were able to make a reservation via email and include a special request due to allergies and food preferences.
The menu has a nice selection of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. There was a small starter of dates wrapped with Iberico ham and a fish terrine. I didn't eat either (I don't eat pork and the fish terrine had potatoes, which I can not eat) The terrine was enjoyed by the 3 other diners.
For the appetizer, three of us had scallops gratinée. The sauce was very good but the scallops tasted frozen. I enjoyed it nonetheless. For the main course, I had the chicken. It was somewhat tough; not due to the cooking but variety of chicken. The morel mushroom sauce was tasty and wish there was more of it. Unfortunately, it was served with french fries even though I told them I was allergic to potatoes. My husband had the beef cheek stew and liked it.
All four of us had the molten chocolate cake, which was served with a creme anglaise and mango sorbet. It was a lovely way to end the meal. read more
