Overall, this hotel is very classy, and is located in a beautiful marina near Lausanne. It's a 15-20 minute taxi to the Lausanne train station, and you can walk to Lausanne along a lakeside path (which took around 60 minutes). The rooms were clean, fairly spacious (by European standards) and modern. The hotel was also clean and very classy. The hotel restaurant was excellent, with a good variety of local foods and French cuisine. Service was generally very responsive and helpful. The only problem we encountered was the internet. Wifi was included in our rooms, but it barely worked at times and was very slow at others. We depended on the internet for our meeting, and kept getting the run-around from staff and management. They suggested having some of our guests log-in from the router in the lobby, and then move up to the 1st floor conference room, but this often didn't help. My room had very spotty access, and it was almost unusable most of the time. There was also a limited number of English television stations available - no CNN, Fox News, BBC News, Sky 24, etc. Otherwise, we were all very happy with the hotel and our stay!

His recommendation was spot on, and the hotel worked out very well for us. The location of the hotel is fantastic. It is just a few blocks from the metro, which we used many times per day. It is also situation in an area with several shops, restaurants and grocery store. The market is nearby that is on Saturday mornings. 5 stars: location. You can't beat the central spot near so many things you want and need. 5 stars: service. As a family run hotel, the service is strong. They are warm and helpful and speak english quite well. 4 stars: breakfast. They offer a breakfast with the room and it is so nice to have more options than just pastries and espresso at most cafes and restaurants. We actually had brewed coffee, and lots of eat, each morning. A hard find in Europe! 3 stars: room. It was clean, but it was small. For a moderate priced hotel it was what we expected, but tiny bathrooms and rooms are hard with two people. Especially with limited mirrors and no bathroom plugs for american hair tools;-). All in all, I would stay here again and recommend to others.

For what ever reason decided to put watery lobster/ shrimp broth over them to bake and puff. The bed was comfortable although if you are used to sleeping with a firm pillow I would suggest asking for more as the pillows in the room are abundantly feathered and you head will sink through to the mattress. The, 'Restaurant Terrace' has a divine breakfast buffet that there is as additional cost for if you don't include it in your booking. They also have a really nice outside Terrace that has a sensational view of Lake Leman looking across toward Evian, France. The hotel is in close, (5 min walk) proximity to the Lausanne Train Station which makes it really convenient if you don't have a car or choose not to drive. There is a nice park and harbour across from the hotel; be sure and take the ferry for a gorgeous 40 min ride on Lake Leman over to Evian, France. *Hotel has a small secure parking structure *Free WIFI *Bicycle rental Loved this location, would definitely go back.
