A simply, lovely little hotel that saved me in a challenging moment, giving my brother and I two rooms on spur of the moment notice. The rooms were basic and no-frills, but eminently charming with lovely street views of downtown Corbigny. The staff were incredibly patient and accommodating despite my speaking no French, and the price for two rooms over five days, daily morning croissants and coffee, plus a magnificent dinner came to just 800 euros, less than I had previously been slated to pay for a much worse lodging situation.
In the event the daek-haired woman (seemingly one of only two or three hotel staff on hand) who smiled patiently while I agonizingly typed out questions or comments on my translation app reads this review, tu es très gentille et très jolie.
Additionally the restaurant in the courtyard, Le Cepage, was fabulous - I had the seared trout with coconut, which was easily one of the best-cooked pieces of fish I've ever encountered. read more
