The hotel is located about 20 minutes walk from the center of town and located in a quiet, safe, and pleasant residential neighborhood. I walked from the main bus terminal and it took about 15 minutes. There is also a Franprix and bike rental station a few blocks away. The hotel itself has a beautiful exterior and friendly staff that made me feel welcome despite the fact that I didn't speak French. For $60 you can't beat the stay considering there are far more expensive options in the town square. The square is mobbed with tourist and buskers at all times of day I welcomed staying at the town's edge. I stayed at a few B+B hotels during my trip through France and this was by far the best hotel experience I had in Europe this year.

For this price I expect more then just a 2-in-1 push shampoo/bath soap combo in the shower. The room itself isnt that bug either. There are curtains to block out all the light, but no curtains that block people from viewing into the room. So it's either dark or you're showing your naked ass to half of Lille. The bed are 2 small beds with a toplayer, I sat down in the middle of the bed and both beds completely slid away... Imagine that whole holding a laptop. The instant coffee is yuck, again... for this price (you're charging almost double as the non renovated rooms!).

Breakfast area had a continental for about 12 euro and full for about 23. I recommend full with cheese, salmon, eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, beans, waffles, pancakes and lots of bread, cakes, muffins and selfserve fresh squeezed orange juice. You also get fruit and champagne included. 5 star breakfast. You must visit the chapel and library and museum of old hospice and banquet rooms. Stained glass windows and plenty of artwork. Has a spa and pool but didnt use. Convenient location.

Great restaurant downstairs, perfect espresso just across the way and a supermarket next door. Plus this is one of the nicest rooms (with the BEST tub) I have ever stayed in! Immaculately clean with all the ammenities I would want. I highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again!
