Best Western Hotel Beausejour

"I've been a loyal rewards member for years, expecting a strong guest experience from Best Western…read more On a recent stay at the Best Western Beauséjour in Lourdes (Oct 4-7, 2025) I was disappointed that advertised amenities (internet, television, laundry) were unavailable without prior warning, and the front desk was frequently unattended. When I raised these concerns with corporate customer relations, they offered me only 3,000 reward points -- valued at about $15 -- as compensation. That minimal gesture does not match the inconvenience and unmet expectations of the stay. It suggests a disconnect between their "guest first" messaging and real customer satisfaction. If you value reliable service, transparency about amenities, and meaningful restitution when things go wrong, you might want to consider other hotel chains. I appreciate the corporate rep I spoke with -- she was courteous and responsive -- but as a whole, Best Western needs to raise its follow-through and reward structure for loyal guests who experience genuine service failures."

She recommended sitting out on the back seating area outside and she helped us get to the Candle Procession as well as recommend what else there was to do. Golanda was also very helpful, I also work at a Best Western in the United States, she allowed us a late checkout at 12pm my aunt was feeling sick when we woke up and this was very helpful and assisted adding my Best Western rewards account to our reservation. Very friendly staff and we're so helpful because we do not speak French and they spoke English. The rooms were very clean, and we appreciated there being plenty of soap in the bathrooms at this location, most places we've stayed here haven't had little to no soap at all provided. My mother and aunt said their breakfast was very good as well

This hotel has been favoured by helpers, doctors and nurses of the Society of Our Lady of Lourdes…read morefor over 25 years. Christine and her staff work tirelessly to look after their guests - be they tourists, pilgrims, pilgrimage helpers or stagiaires. Nothing seems to much to ask them. The Sainte Marie is conveniently located near the Pont St Michel right at the entrance to the Sanctuaries and overlooks the rapidly flowing river Gave. The sound of rushing water is everywhere which, for me at least, is very soothing. Accomodation can be booked on a B&B basis or full/half board. For those on a budget there are rooms which can booked for 3 or 4 sharing. The hotel has recently been refurbished and all rooms are en suite and have satellite TV and air-conditioning. There is a hotel TV lounge at the reception level which has comfortable armchairs and coffee tables. A small bar next to the reception serves a cosy seating area where you can relax after a long day. For visitors with cars there is a locked car park in front of the hotel.

The rooms are simple, and very clean. The breakfast was typiquement francais - with croissant, tartine, juice, and a hot drink. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Warning!! Staff is rude, there is no hot…read morewater until the morning, the food was inedible! My room looked like prison cell. The elevator broke several times. The pictures on here are very misleading. The breakfast was basically bread, juice, and some strange ham slices. I was with a large group of people and they could not keep up with their staff of three people. The only good thing was having a bathroom in the room. I normally don't write terrible reviews if the staff tried, but they did not. I attached a photo of what I was served for dinner one night. It was a huge pile of undercooked rice, and square piece of mystery meat. The starter was a burned hot pocket of sorts. Dessert was unflavored yogurt with a jelly packet. Mmm mmm disgusting! Horrible experience, if you have kids they do not have kids meals they get the crap they give you. Oh and they don't serve wine or beer.

I believe the procession is available year round with the exception of October through November. General tip: if you will be in Paris during your trip, I would suggest a day trip to Nevers where saint bernadette is enshrined. Nevers is a 2 hour train ride from Paris.

Most places won't even talk to us or let us in. I have 2 kids with me who were dying to use the restroom. We ended up at your hotel, Christopher was cleaning up the place, explained to us that there's currently 20k people in Lourdes who are leaving that morning, reason why all rooms are booked up. He allowed us to use the restrooms and was very nice about it. He offered for us to check in later that day since he will have more rooms available. Gave us helpful tips. Great worker you have there! Thank you and I will make sure I stay there on my next trip. Will recommend you as well.

I must have emailed them several times for questions before our arrival and with the time difference, my emails are answered within 24 hours. The moment we checked in, we were greeted by Doris. Her sweet smile welcomed us warmly and made sure we got everything we need to make our stay comfortably. It was nice to meet her as we communicated few times through emails. She gave us information for the restaurants, gave us coupon for some establishments, the entrance to Grotto, wifi info, etc. We had the Triple room and is quite big compared to the typical european (small) rooms. It has a large bath tub & shower. It was perfect as my mother has limited mobility and using the european tub means it will be difficult for her. The whole bathroom is "senior friendly" (meaning it has handrails in the toilet & portable chair in the shower. It was very spacious. We had a double & single beds in the room and it was comfortable beds; we slept as were at home. There are 2 elevators for usage & one is larger than the other. There is no restaurant during our stay; however, the cafe (see suggested Breakfast & Dinner picture) at the next hotel is connected at the Panorama. You can access it through outside too. We have our breakfast here always as we have our favorite & wonderful person "Esperanza". Sometimes we have our full breakfast or just plain croissant that are to die for along with the cappuccino with fresh crema! We have our dinner here too as there are only few restaurants that are open for dinner near the area. We prefer to have dinner at this cafe as it is fast and excellent service. Though the food choices are limited, it's bearable. As for Lunch, definitely our favorite cafe is "Cafe Les Brancardiers"! This cafe I believe they serve breakfast too but we always come to this cafe for lunch. They have wide selection of food and definitely SUPERB!!!! This is our ultimate FAVORITE! Unfortunately, they close around 3pm or 4pm; otherwise, we will have our dinner here too. We tried the other restaurant "Sauveur Restaurant" but VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED with the service. We got there just when they opened and ordered immediately. We had the pre-fix menu and it took them 30 mins to serve the salad then another 30 mins for the main entree. The other table had their food immediately even though we were there first. After having disappointed with the food, we decided not to have our dessert (even it comes with it).Our waiter never came back to our table as he knew we were upset with his service. After we paid, it took them again another 15 mins before we got our change. We had to hail someone just to get their attention. REALLY BAD SERVICE...I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS AT ALL! This is the only BAD experience in our trip. The Grotto's side entrance is about less than a mile away, very convenient from the hotel. Big thanks to all the staff of Hotel Panorama and most especially to Doris! Overall, one of the best hotels we've stayed and the next time we're in Lourdes, we will definitely stay in the hotel again. Excellent hotel & staff!
