With that said some weird quirks apply to the room, such as my bath/shower not having a curtain, and every time I shower, it means soaking the entire bathroom. Besides this, the turndown service was excellent, and I would happily return on my next trip.

The reception was kind enough and they gave me a good room. The elevator that took me up is basically for one person. This place is historic as Ella Fitzgerald stayed there. Some other famous people were there as well, but I can't recall their names. The room had a nice closet, great bathroom, wonderful shower, large tub, comfortable bed, and excellent tv. The gym and sauna were adequate. The breakfast was great for people on the go who need food early. They opened at 7:30am. The place is located close to Pine Beach, a good spot to walk, and near Antibes. You have to walk about twenty or thirty minutes to get to old town Antibes. It is doable. The local scene is quiet, the Juan les Pins and Antibes area are not as vibrant as Paris, so the scene is more subdued. In the offseason this place is quiet. The pool was cozy, but some guy walked in from the street and it was awkward. All in all, this place is a great find for people in Juan les Pins traveling to the convention center, or looking to enjoy the area.

The sun lounge area to the beach is shockingly over occupied with millimetres from sun lounger to sun lounger this is due to the management allowing the public to use all the facilities at a price which leaves the paying guests forced to be packed in like sardines. Why the hell do they allow this to the general public when it's only a small place. They obviously do not care about the paying customers as they have already taken your money which is extremely expensive. The bar area in the late afternoon and evening is the same, small space which would be fine but again open to the general public. Felt really uncomfortable with it being so packed. I blame the manager for this, he was totally rude and did not care about anything. He was totally uneducated with the surrounding area and with his staff. I asked him what restaurant options we had available as it was a Sunday, his reply was "the fancy restaurant " to which I replied you mean the Michelin Star restaurant. WHAT A CLOWN. We are fortunate enough to have a sports car to which we wanted to drive to St Tropez and asked the manager the best way to find a secure parking spot, his reply " get valet parking from one of the hotels in the area, there is a new hotel in the centre which you could do this but can't remember the name, might be Hotel De Paris" I replied saying that hotel has been there for over 20 years. WHAT A CLOWN Overall, extremely poor, not relaxing, not worth the money, poor service. Sea area extremely congested, bar area extremely congested Left this place feeling extremely angry and feel like we have been robbed of a large amount of money. Be warned a lot of the good reviews are from the public using the hotel's facilities

HOWEVER, we arrived much too early for our reservation and instead of allowing entry (which I do understand, had it been explained politely and apologetically), we were looked up and down with an air of dismissiveness and told to return later. When we did return we were AGAIN looked at askance because we arrived in shorts - though we explained we brought more appropriate attire to change into as we had had been shopping in Antibes earlier in the day - and nearly denied entry AGAIN until the more senior security person deigned to approve our entry. To top it all off, I never felt welcome to enjoy anything beyond the bar and grill area, the martini was only OK at the bar, my moules were COMPLETELY oversalted (and I like salt!!) and when I told the wait person, all she did was repeat what I said with surprise and clear the table... no offer to bring a comped dessert or drink or knock some $ off the bill. All in all very disappointing. I live in San Francisco which is full of tech billionaires and yet to feel so excluded at the start of this experience and to end with such mediocre food, really was a sad thing. I would have expected more given the glowing article I had read in Condé Nast. Perhaps if you are a straight couple it's a different experience - we are two women, and the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth...

My man and I landed upon this adorable B&B by accident and good karma. We arrived in Antibes with no reservation, as we chose to travel through Europe with 2 passports, a GPS device (affectionately named Gladys) and a rental car. Hotel la Jabotte was a property recommended by Rick Steve's in one of his books, but the book's description did not pay it justice. First, I wanted (still do) to be best friends with Yves and Claude and perhaps figure out a job in the property that would afford me the lifestyle they live daily in charming Antibes. Since that did not happen and I am back to reality, I feel compelled to mention that this was my favorite property of all the hotels we stayed at throughout Europe. It was far from the most expensive, but not the least expensive of the properties we paid patronage. Warm, accommodating, thoughtful details, affordable but not lacking, with a wonderful location.... I awoke in the morning to enjoy the complimentary and delicious breakfast, but my husband was not feeling well. Claude noticed he did not join me. I wrapped up, headed back to the room to take a shower, and when I emerged.... Claude had set up a special breakfast on the patio outside our room for my husband to enjoy! Fantastic and unsolicited service. Thank you Hotel la Jabotte for creating an everlasting memory for us! Cheers!

Disappointing Health & Hygiene Failure -- Management Refused to Address Medical Costs!…read more We chose the Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes for its reputation for impeccable luxury and service during our multi-week, exclusively five-star European trip (09/22/25-10/10/25). Unfortunately, our stay was severely marred by a serious health and hygiene issue, which was then compounded by a deeply unsatisfactory response from management. On morning of Oct 4th 2025 my wife, Kelly , suffered multiple insect bites of unknown origin while sleeping in the bedding of our room number 724. The bites were serious enough to cause significant distress, lost sleep, and required immediate medical attention. The hotel arranged for a physician to visit, who confirmed the presence of insect bites and prescribed a course of strong medication, including Ivermectin (an antiparasitic drug), along with topical Cortisone. This required us to pay for the medical consultation and prescription out-of-pocket, expenses we would not have incurred otherwise. While the Guest Relations team did facilitate a room change, the General Manager, Mr. Charles Richez, later formally refused all requests for compensation, including reimbursement for the required medical expenses. The GM cited a lack of "conclusive evidence" (despite the documented physician's report and strong prescriptions) and offered a vague, future-use complimentary upgrade instead of resolving the current financial and physical harm. For a hotel that prides itself on luxury, this failure is unacceptable. The issue is not just the presence of a biting insect that caused physical distress, but the complete failure of the General Manager to take accountability and resolve the tangible out-of-pocket costs resulting from a health hazard on their property. I invite all future guests before choosing to stay at this hotel, to take a look at the pics taken on 10/04 and 10/07/2025 to decide themself what it looks like! Do you really want to take this risk for yourself and your family? Prospective guests should be aware that if a serious issue arises, management prioritizes denying financial liability over supporting their high-value clientele.
