I waited to write this review a month after my first session with Rebecca. Originally I had doubts about hypnosis, but looking back I wish had done this sooner. I'm still amazed at how quickly and how well the techniques she gave me worked and I don't regret going to her for my first hypnosis experience. I'm sure I'll be back for another session in the future! Before booking a session, I emailed Rebecca with some questions about the process and to ask what the experience would be like. She was responsive and detailed and put my nerves about hypnosis at ease. Her online booking system could not be easier and there are plenty of times available that will work for all schedules. For the issues I wanted to work on, I went in with an idea of what I was doing well and what I wanted to improve upon. Rebecca is great at listening to your needs/goals and making recommendations on what behaviors you should try to work on for each session. Due to her collaborative approach, Rebecca tailored the information and suggestions during our session to my unique needs. From there the results I've seen speak for themselves - I noticed changes in my thinking and attitude the same day after our session. Make sure you listen to the recording of the session regularly afterwards, which is provided with the cost of the session. It will help you stick to your desired changes until they become habitual for you. If you have any doubts about hypnosis (I did originally) - I say go for it! I have been trying for 10 years to take off weight I gained after going through life challenges, and menopause to no avail. This was my first experience with hypnosis and I didn't know what to expect. My goals were to stop snacking on sweets and lose weight. Rebecca put me at ease with her warmth and professionalism. I went to see Ms.Laure to help me kick start my weight loss plan, takle my sugar addiction and junk food. She is amazing!!! I had my doublets and was a little skeptical ...but people, after 2sessions I'm a believer . Hypnoses unlike commen believe , is a state of deep relaxation , I was aware the whole session but so relaxed that I couldn't lift a finger but I was AWARE. I started by relaxing on a comfy chair, put headphones and then to listen to her calming voice, this Lady is a wizard in a good way! I start to drift deeper and deeper while listened to her directions, it's more like early stages of sleep when you are not quite awake nor asleep. She costum made a plan for me to curb my sweet tooth , session took around 40m of actual hypnosses. I left her office and went to Whole food Market , funny but I swear it was true, I didn't crave sweets , 2 weeks, I don't crave it still!!!! She upload my session in my Dropbox and I kept listing to it whenever I had a chance. Now we are working on salty junk food ( which I love). I had wonderful success with Rebecca. I wanted to cut back on my drinking so that I was only a "social drinker." I had success after my first session and went 10 days without a drop of liquor. The next time I drank was 1 glass of wine out at a fancy dinner -- just the way I wanted it. The hypnosis wasn't as "mystical" and weird as I was expecting, no blacking out for an hour only to wake up with all your problems solved. I have been curious about hypnosis for a while, having tried traditional therapy, support groups, meditation, self-help, yoga, etc. I am emotionally pretty healthy, but stuck in some negative thinking patterns that were developed in childhood. From what I understand, hypnosis can reach the subconscious mind and help you reprogram your animal brain. Today was my first session and it really blew my mind. I didn't really think I was hypnotized until Rebecca asked me to speak, then I realized I was. She gave me some powerful messages to counteract my destructive thinking and also got me laughing. I went to Rebecca Lauer two weeks ago to quit smoking. I had smoked for fifteen years and tried to quit at least ten times in the past three years with no success. Because of Rebecca I will be completely nicotine-free for two weeks tomorrow! I cannot believe how easy and instant it was. Of course, it is not a magic bullet as she clearly states, but it gives you a sense of ease and positive outlook that makes it so easy to forget about smoking altogether. You must still be committed to not smoking and takes steps to distance yourself as much as possible from cigarettes. Trust me, after the first session you will literally gag if you smell cigarette smoke. Rebecca Lauer has changed my life! I have tried diet pills, diet drinks, diet food programs, and even weight loss surgery. None of these have worked for me. I have always gained the weight back plus more. My last chance effort was going to Hypnosis Chicago. Why did I wait so long!?! At my first session, Rebecca immediately put me at ease. She is very laid back and easy to talk to. She lets you have input as to what you want to work on and how you may accomplish your goal. First thing I worked on was giving up fast food. I am a 50 year old male who has struggled with his weight, largely because of a ridiculous taste for sweets, for his entire life. This review is long overdue. I saw Rebecca back in May/June of last year for my issues relating to my binge drinking and lack of sticking to a fitness routine. Her approach is very direct but gentle, and I loved having access to all of our sessions to listen to remotely at any time. It took about six months for things to truly sink in, but I believe it was because I was allowing myself to permanently and subtly shift my patterns. I experienced a few minor hiccups along the way, but now if I have more than 2-3 drinks max I don't feel so great. I also have a daily yoga practice which keeps me focused on my goals, and more grounded and centered. Hypnosis isn't a one-time fix-all experience. You have to be ready to make a change and really focus on your goals, as with any change. I found Rebecca's guidance extremely helpful and I would send anyone to her for extra reinforcement when making changes to your life. It's all so worth it! Thank you! read more
