Stopped in here for a drink. It was very busy and packed. The service was ok and the drinks are very expensive. Wouldn't be rushing back anytime soon

It's also a restaurant and hotel. The Hyde's interior features a dazzling array of glass walls, colorful murals, plants - in our breakfast nook, approximately 100 roses are suspended upside down from the ceiling - bare brick and mirrors. Green is the predominant color, with liberal doses of chartreuse thrown in. Whoever decorated the Hyde deserves a prize and the place deserves your patronage for the decor alone. Music is carefully curated and features a light and ambient sound that contributes to the unique, ethereal atmosphere. We had breakfast and dinner here. We ordered: 4*Vegetarian Breakfast included grilled tomato, mushroom, beans, scrambled egg, sliced potato, and toast: everything was good, especially mushrooms. 4*Creamy porridge: Scrambled eggs with strawberries, toast, and smoked salmon: excellent. 3*Sautéed Broccoli & Spinach Toasted Almonds: served with lots of butter. 3*Tortellini of Ricotta & Spinach included tomato ragout, parmigiana, rocket salad: the tortellini filling was cheesy. Tomato sauce and spinach were filling and tasty. 4*Grilled Goats Cheese Salad-honey, roasted walnut, beetroot, apple balsamic: pretty good salad, just right.

Hyde had the best service of anywhere I went to during my holiday in Galway. They were kind and attentive and made a great experience overall. For food I had a great beef and potato dish and my wife got the roasted duck. Actually I thought the red pepper and tomato soup might have been the best because it was so good! It was all absolutely delicious and I highly recommend this place to all!

I came here on a whim for lunch and it was some of the best food I've had while in Galway. The mushroom soup was to die for! I would consider myself a soup connoisseur, and this was one of the best mushroom soups I've ever had. The vegan salad was also excellent! I don't follow a vegan diet usually, but I felt like I needed some veggies and this was excellent. The roasted cauliflower, beets, sunflower seeds, and avocado added a lot of sustenance to this salad. My server was really nice and gave me great recommendations on what to order. Service was quick as well. The space is trendy with beautiful velvet seating and greenery inside for decoration. This would be a cute date night spot for anyone looking for a trendy place for a date. Excellent food and service. I'll be dreaming of that mushroom soup later.

This place was so cool! Love the vibe, great drinks awesome food! I think it was our first dining experience in Ireland so I really didn't get a lot of snaps because we were starving! The service was fantastic, she was super friendly and attentive helped us decide what to order. They also called us a taxi since Uber isn't really a thing on this side of the island.

Great pint of beer. Great service. The sandwich was terrific as a late lunch. Don't know about dinner or night life. But lunch was great!!

AMAZING food and service!!!! The Hake was incredible as well as the salmon special. Service was fantastic and friendly...this is the best dinner experience I've had in months! (And not the most expensive...we just happened in here because it was close to our hotel.)

I came by here twice. First for food and sat and waited even to get a menu. I know as Americans we can be impatient--so i give it a second try. Sat at the bar and waited. and waited. And waited. Moved seats closer so they could see me (4 employees) and waited. Finally I was greeted. Great old fashioned. Slow service. I'm told they make the best cocktails in Galway

O'Connell's Bar, which has been famous for years in its own right, rose to international prominence thanks to ole Ed Sheeran's "Galway Girl". It was pretty cool to see the spot where the video was filmed and it only added to the allure and story of the place! When you walk in off the street, you may just think it is a small cozy Irish pub and for the most part, you would be correct. However, go through the doors in the back and you are transported to a large, open-air beer garden featuring store fronts, stages, booths, heaters and more! While the inside is classic and uniquely Irish, the outdoor space is its own vibe! It honestly feels like two different spaces, but they also feel connected. All in all, easily the best beer garden in Galway! We grabbed a few pints at the inside bar and spent most of our time outside. It was a tad chilly, but they have self-controlled and regulated heaters over several of the seating alcoves, so we were comfortable an ended up hanging around for a few pints. Location is stellar, directly on Eyre Square, which is a main hub for Galway. Easy to wander in while walking around or popping off a bus, as the main bus stop of the area is directly across the street. Overall, we absolutely loved our time at O'Connell's Bar!

Whether you want to watch a match on the tele or converse with your friends, you can do either here. I recommend the beer garden even if it's cold, because it's open air with plenty of heaters even my mother approved the temperature. And they have a nice bar out there with plenty of seating or standing room. Don't forget to grab a few slices of pizza down the alley from the beer garden. Cheers!
