After multiple hotels in Santa Fe let me down over time, this one is the new winner. The hotel is newish, and well kept. The rooms are clean but the breakfast leaves a bit to be desired. The parking lot is well lit which is nice. The price is right and it's the current winner. Recommended for sure. read more

Pretty decent Hyatt Place located just outside of Santa Fe. It's a short drive to the downtown, or to the community center, or to the Zia railroad station - so it's in a fairly convenient spot if you have a car. The rooms were nice and bed was comfortable. The hotel is only a few stories tall so you might end up with a ground floor room fyi. Breakfast was pretty good but they were out of scrambled eggs while I was there unfortunately (but somehow still had hard boiled eggs?). Parking was $4 a night which seemed overkill since the hotel is not downtown and there was a ton of open parking spaces. Overall a decent and fairly affordable option near Santa Fe. read more

Omg!!! The bed was absolutely heavenly! Simply divine. It's so nice to crawl into fresh linens and a cloud of comfort. And the breakfast was fabulous too. More than the usual fare. Lots of fresh fruit and muffins, eggs and sausage and coffee with good flavor. The room had a few issues, but nothing too bad. For example, the light/fan switch in the bathroom is incredibly noisy -- I showered with out it on. Moreover, The gym had an elliptical that was busted. Told the staff and they didn't seem too concerned. I rode the peloton which I believe was sized for a six foot tall man not a five foot tall woman. Oh well. Hotels are not always totally together. At least not in my experience. Oh I wish the rooms had microwaves. The gal at the front desk said that one would be provided upon request. Good to know. read more

This was a comfortable place to stay. Room 312 The room was clean and tidy. The shower area was a little tired, but clean. Sound did travel through the walls. This was a bummer, especially late at night The spa and pool area was clean and well maintained. After a disappointing stay at the Double Tree, I really enjoyed this hotel. It is away from Cerrillos which is nice. The rooms are so big which was a change from the DT. The only problem we had was the electric shades which seem to have a mind of their own. The front desk did send up a maintenance man and he tried to get it to work but it seems it had some computer problem. We did get it to our satisfaction. The breakfast was good, eggs, sausage , interesting potatoes, and green chile. There was a big bowl of fresh fruit which I liked and other options. Truly a step up from many complementary fares. The lobby is not as fancy as the DB or as big but is adequate. I would definitely stay here again. read more

I really like this hotel The staff: Jacelle, Vevo, Zach and Ana were all so helpful and friendly It's a nice building, has a good breakfast. Good sized rooms with a desk, seating area, fridge - but no microwave. Location-wise: if you're here just to chill and get away, this is good, a bit off the main drag of Cerillos, I wasn't bothered by street noise. The other thing is, currently, the hotel is undergoing renovations so it's not really full. But if you're here on vacation, it's nearly 6 miles to the Plaza and most of the touristy stuff. Estimate 15-20" so take that into consideration too There is a shuttle here for anything within a 7 mile radius but it stops running at 9 pm. Hyatt Santa Fe is great. We stayed for a week while visiting family. Building is newer and clean. Staff are friendly. Pool is indoor with a hot tub. My kids loved it. Lobby is not the biggest I've seen in the Hyatt chain, but big enough. There is also an outdoor seating area to eat. Speaking of food, the breakfast was essentially the same every day. Scrambled eggs, bacon, green chili, yogurt, oatmeal with fixings, and toasts. The coffee was particularly good here. Regular and decaf. Tazo Teas. I had a room with 2 queens and a sofa bed. Has a fridge, no micro (but one in lobby). Being farther back from the road, the hotel is hard to see from the road, especially at night, because the sign is not illuminated. Good thing for the gas station next door, otherwise you'd blast right by it! read more

Hotel was new and well designed, but the walls are thin and you can hear everything going on around you. Someone came knocking on the door 2-3 times early in the morning between 7:30 and 8:30 AM. Lastly the hot tub was absolutely disgusting, looked like it had not been cleaned. Staff were nice though, just the small things above that made the experience slightly less enjoyable. read more

I recently stayed here and I found it to be a safe good area about 15 to 20 mins outside of the Plaza town. I liked this hotel, very clean, my bed was perfect, not too firm or soft! The room had a refrigerator. The free breakfast was ok, enough to get you going in the morning. I would recommend this place. I gave it a 4 stars but the comfort of the bed alone is really worth a 5 stars. read more

I arrived late and the staff were accommodating and kind. The room was clean and there was a fridge to accommodate my room. The best part of the hotel stay was the free shuttle to take me to and from places outside of the strip this hotel was on. It saved me a ton on Ubers and the staff were very kind and helpful to accommodate my schedule. The continental break was meh and could benefit from more options such as a waffle bar and more protein/grab and go options. The coffee need to be stronger! However for being a free breakfast it wasn't terrible and did the job as a light meal before heading to other spots. read more

This is my new favorite hotel. I spent a looooong time finding a place to stay in Santa Fe. This had everything I needed: relatively quiet (set back far enough from Cerrillos that I didn't hear any street noise), very spacious and well laid-out, and clean. Two things that really stood out: hot beverages were available at 4:45 am (handy for someone on East Coast time), and the breakfast was really breakfast. There were steel cut oats with 2 kinds of nuts plus raisins & brown sugar, and a hot bar - scrambled eggs and bacon / sausage, potatoes, and green Chile sauce. They weren't in chafing dishes but instead in Le Creuset pots on a burner. It was easy to borrow silverware & a bowl so I could eat in my room. Someone was always available at the desk. It was nice to have a sleeping area, a couch, and a work / snack area. There was a half-fridge (not a quarter fridge) which was handy. I'm telling my Santa Fe peeps about this hotel for future visits from friends & family. read more

This hotel has a good location if you are not planning on staying in the square. The people working the front desk were helpful and friendly however, that is where the positives end. The room was very expensive on the night we stayed compared to other places but we decided to pay extra hoping that it would mean a nicer, cleaner stay. That was not the case. Our room was dirty. There were hairs randomly around the room and in the bathroom. The carpet was not clean. It was in severe need of updating. Our tv remote was held together with a rubber band and only worked at an angle we had to stand up to reach. Other than the green chili, the breakfast was not good compared to other places that offer free breakfast. You are better off staying somewhere else and saving the money. read more

One of the reviews stated that this hotel was going through some renovations. Our hotel room probably was in need of some extra care. When we checked in, our toilet was running - my husband lifted the cover and a piece of tubing came apart and started spraying a fair amount of water onto the wall. He turned off the valve and went down to the front desk. The clerk was responsive and switched our room immediately, but it was still a hassle after a long day of driving. Some of the furniture was showing signs of wear (chipped/ scratched). I did respond to the survey received when we checked out and received a response from an employee apologizing for the hassle, praising their employee for responding to our issue, and stating that they hoped we would give them another chance in the future. I'm a Hyatt member and I'm always really impressed with the value of staying at a Hyatt property. This one was equally satisfying. If you're looking for a reasonable, spotlessly clean, well-sized room/property that won't break the bank, you can't go wrong with a Hyatt Place. I have a "special pillow" I use when traveling (for cervical issues), and I'd left it behind. I called the next day to see if housekeeping had found it, and fortunately for me, they did! They were so friendly, helpful and prompt in getting it back to me - super appreciate! Breakfast and coffee are free (awesome!) - we could not avail ourselves as we're gluten/dairy free, but that's no dig on the property, most everyone can find something to eat with what's avail. The only bummer was powdered eggs. Otherwise, book with confidence! read more

Served it's purpose but was expecting better quality from this brand. Stayed three nights, over a long holiday weekend/balloon festival. Check-in was seemless and only took maybe 5 minutes at the hands of Ms. Sandy. She was professional, inviting and informative about the establishment and surrounding area. Upon entering the room I was a little amazed at the layout and how much space there was. On the desk there was a letter with my name on it which contained a greeting and thank you statement for me choosing to stay with them. Brownie points for sure. Plus they placed a nutrigrain bar in front of the letter. The room was clean and well arranged, didn't smell weird. I had the two queen non-smoking room option. The bathroom was was clean and a decent size with a tub/shower combo. The closet was small and kind of had a awkward opening to access. The window for the room was large and allowed plenty of natural light in, and could be open to allow fresh air in. Functionally the AC, light fixtures and small appliances work well. My one issue was that the shower seem to only get to luke warm, maybe because the hotel was pack/book up. You could see some wear and tear around the room but nothing where I felt it made it unsat. The walls are a bit thin, I heard people/kids running up and down the hallway on the third floor and on the second where I was. And if the TV in another room was loud enough I could here that as well. Surprisingly I couldn't hear any outside road noise unless I opened the window. During my stay they did extend breakfast time from the 6-9 to 6-10 time frame. They did however stop putting out fesh food a little after 9 even though the dinning area was full of people/late goers. Each day they offered something different of typical breakfast items. The staff does a pretty decent job of keeping the food, dinning tables and trash areas clean. There is a bar and they serve about three different wines and four or six different beers at about $6 per serving for nothing exotic. Katelyn work one of the nights I was at the bar and she was spunky and attentive to each customer. They do have a 24/7 menu you can order off of. Had the chicken quesadilla that was pretty darn tasty and fulfilling. There is a small workout room, swimming pool, hot tub and laundry room on the premises. During my stay the hot tub was out of commission and it look it, which was a bummer. Was one of the amenities I brought me there. Everything else seemed fine. My overall stay was okay. I might stay again but will probably look at other options in the area before hand. read more

Hyatt Place, is one of the new concepts being rolled out by Hyatt. It has that Euro-Eco feel to it, which we found nice. This hotel is very clean and very new. They'e still working out the bugs, but the amenities are first class. There are HDTVs in the rooms and the hotel has a decent fitness center. The employees seem very nice and helpful. But keep in mind it is closer to Interstate 25 and a very long 7 miles from downtown area. Sometimes it felt like we hit every stop light on Cerrillos going into town for dinner! Somewhat hard to find at first glance but finally found it from other reviews. The room and bathroom was impeccable and clean. I am pretty good at noticing dirty and I didn't find any of it. That must say a lot about the staff. The room was typical for a Hyatt (looking exactly like the next across the country). Had two queen beds and a pull out sofa bed. Had a large tv, amble space to move around, a desk, multiple input slots into the tv, and anything else that's accustom in a hotel. Also the free breakfast buffet was worth the stay here Only thing I didn't like was the lack of parking in the front; however they had additional parking around the building. Would also like to see some security cameras in the future read more

Waked in to friendly staff. Parking lot was good. Room was fresh and clean. Could have had more towels in the room and no microwave until we asked for it. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good but not enough room during "rush hour" breakfast time. Our girls enjoyed the pool every night we stayed there. Water was pretty warm. Hot tub looked skinny and gross though. I seldom post reviews of mundane locations (e.g., gas stations, office buildings, etc.), but the Hyatt Place in Santa Fe deserves merit. The facility is spotless and smells fresh, the front desk staff are ingratiating, the breakfast nook is clean and well maintained, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. What more could you ask from a hotel in this price range? Unlike many hotels, the WiFi is easily accessible and strong enough for my New 3DS XL to detect. Fans of the Nintendo handheld will appreciate that! The workout/fitness room is small but adequate with a nice selection of dumbbells, two treadmills, and an elliptical. The complimentary towels and purified drinking water are nice touches. The historic district several miles away is home to numerous hotels with more local charm, but they cost significantly more. If you are on a budget and would prefer to spend your money on fine dining at Geronimo or The Compound, then Hyatt Place is a good choice; it includes all the amenities you would expect and is priced reasonably. The only downside is that the signage is barely visible from the street. Just let the Discount Tire and Philips 66 be your points of reference. read more

I called 2 hours ahead to say we were checking in late with our 3 kids and show up at 10:30 pm on a road trip to be told our room was given away and our policy says we can do this. Then I was told by Calvin the manager that I would be charged for the additional room that I now needed. I was left searching for rooms at 11 pm with 3 tired crying kids. We come here there times a year and I am shocked I got treated this poorly. Never again. read more

The location and price are ok but I have been to better motels 6s than this hyatt. Very disappointing. The bed was so uncomfortable. If you've ever stayed at any Hyatt Place you know exactly what the lobby area looks like, what's for breakfast and how your room will look and feel. I like Hyatt Place, in fact it's my favorite budget hotel chain for both business and family but like any other chain, each branch can be a little different than others in the level of service, condition of the hotel and rooms and maybe other parameters. The Santa Fe branch is good. I think the only issue I had there is that the breakfast staff is a bit less friendly than I expected. They tend to start wrapping up breakfast a little early and by the time the "bell rings" for end of b-fast it's over and there's nothing you can get anymore. A bit too strict in my opinion. Special kudos to the maintenance guy (forgot his name...). This guy shows real caring for guests and does a great job. The pool did not work when we came in, and he fixed it and personally came up to our room to let us know that it's fixed. He also fixed the AC that had some glitches. The room has a big TV which is fun and rooms have a sitting area that can also be used for an extra person as a standard. I like that Hyatt Place rooms can fit 5 while many other hotels can fit 4 as a standard. read more

Rooms have a medium mini fridge, coffee/tea, large couch, large bed, and nice bathroom/sink countertops. The shower doors can be a bit weird with water on the floor. But honestly this is a nice hotel. Breakfast place right outside the gas station is NOT to be missed. Otherwise you can walk to a few local places. Van will take you most anywhere else. Short Uber or car ride to the main plaza downtown. Hotel is near a mall and a few shops/restaurants. Off the highway and close to the airport but not right in the middle of the "action." I personally appreciate that quiet and the option to go someplace more hectic if need be. Always stay here when I am in town for work. read more

Not clean. Hair in the shower in our first room- a large clump of black hair. They switched us to another room, and again there was hair in the shower. Front seat staff ended up taking us to 4 different rooms and each one had long dark hair or short curly dark hair in the shower! On the fourth room we decided to just wash it out ourselves because my son was very tired and it was late. When we turned down the beds- more long black hair. The front desk manager insisted that the hair is from the maids- do they sleep in the beds and take showers in all of the rooms?? Just gross- will never stay here again read more

I wouldn't stay here again. The room was fine, we stayed in a King suite. I appreciated the little freezer in the mini fridge, no microwave though & no lotion. It wasn't till we were leaving that my hubby saw the sign to ask the staff for it. The walls are thin, I was woken up at 10.30pm by kids running up and down the hallway, the again at 4am by someone the floor above me flushing the toilet. The people in the room next to us also liked to bang on the wall for no reason. Yes breakfast was included, it was edible and not too bad, there was hot food as well as cereals, yoghurt, fruit, toast etc. But for a Hyatt my expectation were a little higher. The staff were nice enough but not overly pleasant or anything, they had a job to do and that was it. We paid $100 for the night on Expedia but I guess we were just spoilt at how much better the hotel and breakfast in las cruces was the night before. read more

Hard to find as the hotel sign is not very well lit up. Upon first arrival got into our room and it smelt like smoke so we had to go back down to the desk and get into a different room. The room itself is nice size but very out dated. A lot of the wall outlets did not work and we had to find which ones did just to get our cellphone chargers to work. Most of the time the rooms come with soap and shampoo/conditioner but we again had to ask at the front desk for some. The tiles in the bathroom were cracked and someone got some metal shavings ground into the carpet at the front door to the room. I found out the hard way. We also went down to the pool around 9:15 the pool closed at 10 from what we were told. The pool was like warm at best (in door pool) and the jacuzzi was warm but not hot like it should be plus the water jets were not very strong and focused at your level of your tail bone when they should be about mid back level. We slept but not very well as the bed was extremely hard, and for some reason we had these toy square pillows, not regular size like you would expect. We went down for breakfast and by far and away one of the better breakfasts we have had in a long time at a hotel. But probably the biggest disappointment as black out curtains that did not even reach the bottom of the window so we couldn't sleep in bc there was at least a one inch gap letting in all the sun light. Black out was definitely not what they were. So all that we give this place 2.75 out of five. Just really needs up dating. read more
