I booked the Hyatt Place Fresno for our school's cross-country team ahead of an important meet the following morning, and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. The location is ideal. The hotel is very close to Woodward Park, where the XC course is located, and within walking distance of several restaurants and a hospital. Costco and other stores are also just down the street, making it incredibly convenient for a team traveling from out of town. The hotel was clean and welcoming, with a massive lobby featuring plenty of comfortable seating options, including couches, spacious two-person cubicles with TVs, and a long communal desk with multiple chairs. There was also plenty of parking. Parking was included with our group reservation, although individual guests should note that the standard parking fee is $10 per day. Amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, a pool open until 10 p.m., and a complimentary breakfast with a great variety of options: coffee, tea, juice, oatmeal, scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon, toast, bagels, waffles, fresh fruit, granola, and cereal. Our king rooms were approximately 330 square feet, with a sleeper sofa, work desk, mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, and other standard amenities. While the rooms felt a little dated in some areas, the furniture was modern, and the rooms and beds were very comfortable. Our entire group was accommodated on the top floor, which was a nice bonus. What truly made this stay exceptional was the service. About a week before our arrival, the corporate team connected me with the on-property general manager, Miguel Ramos. He was absolutely outstanding and went above and beyond to make our athletes feel welcome and prepared for race day. He had all the sleeper sofas pulled out and ready before we arrived, arranged for breakfast to open earlier so our athletes could eat before their early morning races, and even asked what special foods they might need. When I mentioned bananas, he made sure to order extra for the team! The staff was friendly, everything was well organized, and both check-in and check-out were seamless. Coordinating accommodations for a school team takes extra planning, and Miguel and his team made the entire process effortless. Our school travels to Fresno twice a year for cross-country, and the Hyatt Place Fresno will be our go-to hotel from now on. Between the convenient location, comfortable accommodations, great amenities, and truly exceptional hospitality, I highly recommend this hotel to other school athletic teams and group travelers. SERVICE Desk fail Manager fail I stated that this establishment for a couple of days anyway with my granddaughter going to a couple of the National Parks. The TV did not work, the fan in the bathroom did not work, there was a light in the room that did not work I went down to the desk and informed them, and they said that would be fixed by the time I got back from the park, guess what, it was not fixed The next day I went down and I spoke with them again and they said they would get fixed and again they did not get it fixed. None of it, they did not provide towels, they did not make beds. I'm positive. They did not even enter the room during the few days. I had to call and ask for towels so that we could take showers At the end of our stay and during checkout, I told him again that none of this was taken care of, and they said a manager would call me as they took my phone number and guess what no manager ever called me I would never stay at this place again, I have no idea how I got the high name on it and I've never heard of a Hyatt place before, it is equivalent to a travel lodge read more

This Hyatt is modern and beautiful. The staff from check in to check out were friendly and helpful. This location is across the street from Kaiser Permanente off Herndon but a little ways off the 41 so you don't get all the highway noise. Beds and rooms were clean and comfortable and no issues with hot water. The free breakfast was plentiful with lots of options. The scrambled eggs were pretty good. There are lots of other eating options nearby as well. The bar is stocked and open until midnight on weekends. The bartender was lovely and personable. Clean and good size room for one person. King size bed with working desk and room to spread out. Unfortunately, I'm on the first floor and there is no ice machine. Thankfully, everyone who works here is so nice and they got me a bucket of ice. The gym is pretty standard and a nice feature to have when you're on the road. Newer Property, which was a nice surprise since many Hyatt Place Hotels are older. This hotel is clean and has modern decor. The lobby is spacious with attractive decor. Rooms have wood flooring ( no carpet) and nice large Flat Screen TV. Nice sized room mini fridge. Beds very comfy. Complimentary breakfast above average with hot and cold entrees. Large indoor heated pool amd gym. Nice jacuzzi tub. Parking is $10. I did read that the hotel has had some issues with car break-ins. We parked close to front entrance. Parking lot was well lit. Across the street from a Kaiser Hospital. Surrounding area seemed nice. I felt safe there. All personnel were friendly and welcoming. The only downside was some freeway noise. This is review is NOT based on the rooms or staying over night at this hotel. This review is based on my place of employment having a meeting in one of the conference rooms. There was plenty of parking all around the hotel. I was able to walk around the lobby which was spotless and serene. There was snacks and drinks you can purchase. There was plenty of seats and tables for guests. Now inside the meeting room where we were at was hot. The staff said the AC was on but maybe the vents were not working in this room. After 4 days here I can give 4 solid star. Cons: dark hallway, auto set up in room which makes clicking sound often, disturbing my sleep, no microwave, iron not working, soap container was empty, breakfast $11, two elevators and took a long time to areive on my floor. I travel to Fresno quite often for work, and this has always been my go to hotel- it's close to the office and has always had great amenities and services...but things have changed! Now, you have to pay for parking (it was always free previously). The once free breakfast also comes with a fee. I'm all for changing with the times, but I feel like the quality has gone down with these changes too...the last couple of times, either me or one of my colleagues also staying here have complained of the room smelling odd. Also, the cleanliness of the hotel isn't quite what it used to be. Not that this should deter you from staying here...maybe if you didn't know the previous glory, you won't mind how it is now. I however, may be on the hunt for a new "go to hotel" for my Fresno stays. read more

This was the hotel I was booked at by the company that I will be working for. I wasn't sure what to expect. Honestly, I've stayed in some really raunchy hotels. When I arrived, I saw that this was one snazzy hotel. It was clean, it's located in a what I consider a very beautiful area. Right down the street you have a few restaurants. The service has been pretty good. The parking seems pretty safe. The only downfall is that they do charge $10 a day for parking. They have a 24hr gym, a pool that closes at 10pm, breakfast is served from 6:30am to 9:30. It isn't the biggest selection but it's still good and complimentary. They do have some smoking areas. My room was pretty nice. I was booked on the 4th floor, a beautiful view of the kaiser hospital. The AC/Fan was of no bother to me. I've had extremely noisy AC/fans at other hotels that were pretty old and run down. This one is all digital and doesn't freeze you, nor is it pointed at the bed. They get pretty busy and sometimes have only one person at the front desk and serving drinks. My double shots of whiskey and cokes were about 15.00 each. I didn't have to go anywhere so I was pretty pleased. read more

We stayed at this hotel every time we visited Fresno. We had very good time during our last visit in Feb before the new management change. This time, the pet fee increased from $75 to $100. The complimentary breakfast is also gone. We got charged $11/per person without being informed of the change, only found out when we checked out. I travel to Fresno about once a quarter and have chosen this Hyatt Place as my regular spot for my last five trips. There were significant changes in how the hotel charges between my October 2024 and November 2024 visit. I am not pleased. Upon check in I was told that they now charge $10 to park my vehicle and breakfast would also cost $11, instead of being included in the price of my room. I have some thoughts: instead of nickel and diming me, just increase the room cost. This menu list of charges for items that were included in my stay only a month ago is insulting. Even more frustrating was that when my colleague checked in, he was NOT charged for his vehicle. As a business traveler, I am a steward of my company 's money and this felt insulting. Also, when I booked the hotel through our travel website, Concur, the new price additions weren't called out. In addition to that, I was housed on the fifth floor where there was apparently a leak. The hallway leading to my room had towels laid across the carpeting and warning signs everywhere. I wasn't given a heads up at check in, so as I started walking down the hall, it actually appeared to be closed off. My room was right on the other side of the wet towels laid out and soiled on the hallway floor. Listen, I work in facilities and understand building issues are inevitable. However, I also know that I work hard to keep my customers away from facility fails. I'm not sure why I wasn't redirected or at least given a heads up. Everything was still in place the next morning when I checked out. Of course, the white towels on the carpet were now filthy with all of the footprints and suitcase wheels drug over it. Hyatt, I'm going to look for a new hotel for my Fresno visits. Shame on you for having inconsistently applied fees AND nickel and diming your guests. read more

I understand their policy but the wife and I got the flu really bad the day before I was supposed to check in. They refused to cancel and refund my reservation. I have stayed here on two separate occasions. First stay was okay. The tv in the room wouldn't work when I asked if they could have someone fix it they said someone would come up. No one came up. The pool also had a strong fowl smell. Second stay the tv worked but only had less than 10 channels. The pool the second time was horridly worse than the previous stay. They also advertise that they have a restaurant and can make food upon order. However the staff who are to prep and cook the food is the same person who is checking in guest and running the bar. I was told that I couldn't order food. With the price they are charging and what they are providing it is not worth the stay. I won't be staying here when I travel to Fresno. read more

Attended a Swim Meet in Fresno, from the time we checked in, coming and goings, to check-out was perfect. Great looking newer hotel with expansive, wraparound lobby and rooms that include a spacious sectional sofa area. Service was always friendly, especially at breakfast. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. This property is a very good model for the newer Hyatt Place brand, which hopefully can keep expanding into smaller & medium sized cities. Some mechanical issues with shower door and toilet seat, but will attribute that to one-off and not representative of the whole property. read more

Stayed a few days this week. I'm going to be using this hotel for some business travel over the next few months. The hotel is nice. It's in a very business oriented area. There are a lot of medical businesses and a giant Kaiser Hospital right across the street. There is a huge amount of parking. It took me roughly 10 mins to get here from the Amtrak Station. It's roughly 15 minutes from Fresno Airport. Check in was very smooth. I did check in late. The staff was all very kind and nice. They were very sociable. One thing I did notice is they appeared short staffed. They had a nice breakfast free until about 10am while I was there. The had cereal, eggs both scrambled and hard boiled. In addition they had potatoes, sausage, fruit and some bacon. They had coffee and juices as well. The days I was there getting food during the evening was hard. I don't think the kitchen was open. I used Uber eats which was no issue. The room was nice. Perfect for me. Bathroom was spacious. There is a living room sitting area and bed. Huge flat screen. Pictures are attached. My room was in the back along the highway. It was a little noisy but I live in the city so not terrible. I was on the second floor. I'd recommend that if you sleep lightly ask for s room on a higher floor. Since the hotel has taken out rugs you can hear the guests above you. The people above me I Nick named thunder foot. It started at 4:30 am. All in all minus Thunder Foot and not being able to get food things were great. One more thing my room was never cleaned. I was only there a few days but making my bed or getting done towels would have been nice but I understand the staff was short so it's good. Management just needs to do better for them or hit the rooms themselves to make sure things get done. I know I wasn't the only one. Thanks to the staff that was there! Disappointed, I messaged the place prior to arrival to see if the pool was open, they responded yes and upon check in, the pool was closed for "maintenance" during our stay. Breakfast was average. Room was great and neat but the bathroom door does not lock. There's no switch to turn on vent. Also the shower doors make a lot of noise when closing/opening. The room door makes a really loud noise when it closes. The door does not close all the way, so make sure you close it manually. Had to change rooms because the shower water pressure was abysmal. New room: - toilet didn't flush well - tv kept rebooting if you changed channels too fast - internet is an atrocious 9Mbps down?!? This is unacceptable in 2025 - piloting a program to charge for sub par breakfast - fire alarm testing at 7:30am instead of the posted 9am - bathroom door doesn't lock because the door is off kilter - no microwave in the room - iron didn't work - room hardly got cleaned despite being on the daily cleaning list (1 time during the whole week) - only one elevator works (stairs are quicker) read more

I stayed here for a business assignment from Sunday to Friday. Hotel was not packed and majority of the people staying there seem to also be there for business. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and I hardly had to wait for any service. SPECIAL THANKS to Margaret who made my stay there so pleasant. Everytime i saw her she was busy cleaning hotel and setting up the fresh food at breakfast. MOST IMPORTANTLY she greeted me every single time we cross paths with a smile! A GENUINE smile not a forced one!You can tell she has the best attitude while at work! Thank you! The room was comfy and clean for the most part. Modern looking and strong AC for the dreaded heat in the Central Valley Area. Wish the pillows would be more fresh. Seem like older linen or something. I had an Amazon package delivered there no problem and i must say the complimentary hot breakfast was so tasty especially the eggs . I also noticed they served everything in Le Creuset pans which can be loved and hated by any. It was nice touch for me and maybe heavy for the others lol. Gym was adequate, clean and used it for the majority of my trip. Weights, treadmill etc. I will definitely stay here again when i am assigned to the area and look forward to the service and fluffy breakfast eggs lol. read more

Negative! DO NOT stay here. I stayed here overnight for a local work event thinking that location was a good, across the street from a hospital so thought should be safe. Ugh i didn't do any research or read any of these reviews. It would've saved me hundreds of dollars from a smashed window and robbery into my car. Don't Accept a "Highway Side" Room! This is a great hotel and I would have given 5 stars if they had given me a street side/east side ("Kaiser Permanente side") room. I didn't know to reject a highway side room and I paid the price. The room is fine until you try to sleep. If you're sensitive that way then it'll be a problem. It's California Highway 41, also known as the Yosemite Freeway. And it's 150 feet from the hotel and it is loud and bustling. Loud enough to interrupt the sleep of some people - if that's you avoid the highway side! But the room was above par and breakfast was quite a bit above average for a hotel. 8/24/2019 We decided to stay here for a night for our staycation this time since it's brand new. We arrived at the front desk around noon but she was nice enough to let us check in early. The lobby is nice and spacious, very clean with nice decor. The room is clean , still smells new and good size with seating area next to the bed. The room comes with a small fridge but not the microwave. Bathroom is spacious since we got the ADA room ( because I wanted a bathtub ). The counter space in the bathroom is a bit small but manageable. The staff are friendly and nice here , the indoor pool is nice and clean. The gym is pretty good size and super clean. Everything is nice and clean since it's new. The breakfast was pretty good , cage free scrambled eggs, bacons , herb and garlic potatoes were all delicious. They have waffles, toasts, Greek yogurt, fruits , orange juice, grapefruit juice , iced tea, coffee , hot tea , oat meal , cereals . Breakfast room has comfortable seatings and pretty spacious. Ample parking space. Close proximity to River Park shopping center , convenient because so close to the restaurants and stores etc ... highly recommended! read more
