They include chips, peas, carrots, and a good amount of gravy. The chicken nuggets are a big hit with both of my kids. The service is quick and courteous. I have supported St Peter's BBQ Fish and Chip Shop on Stephens Terrace for many years, due to my…read moreparents living in the area and my previous association with Wilderness School. On this occasion the new owners, I asked for a large potato salad and a large pasta salad. I was surprised when a medium-sized container was provided and I queried this. The staff member stated that this container was considered "large" compared to my local shop. When I questioned this, the staff member became aggressive and told me to "go back to your local shop," followed by swearing and telling me to leave the premises, stating she did not want my business. I advised her that her behaviour was rude and discriminatory, and I then left the shop. A woman standing outside the premises witnessed the incident and appeared shocked by the continued verbal abuse coming from inside the shop. Moral be honest and say we dont do large salads then decieve customers.

Their free range chicken tastes great, well cooked and not too dry. Their chips were fat and crisp, and they also come in a smaller "Kids size" which helps if you just want a treat. I generally make the distiction based on the flavour of the chips, and these certainly tasted chickeny. These are the dudes…read more Don't be fooled by the name: this isn't one of those drive through franchises you see everywhere, it's an old school chicken & chips deli. They must've been annoyed when the megabucks place took their name. They are always busy, and despite having seats both inside and plastic ones outside, there is pretty much no one here for a sit down meal - it's takeaway after all and has no real vibe to make you stay. Some of the staff are really friendly and nice, but there is that one lady who I think hates me. Not sure why. As an old school chicken shop, they do one thing and they do it well: hot packs. Oh yes. I highly advise you to grab yourself a quarter chicken hot pack, with chips, peas, carrots and a bucket load of gravy next time you're hungry. Or hungover. You won't be disappointed. The burgers and other offerings are all OK as far as that goes, but not sensational. To be honest you should come for the hot chickens and chips, maybe a salad or two - and leave happy.
