Charming, welcoming and most importantly a comfortable bed! We enjoyed the simple, yet generous "to-go" style breakfast and the pride of ownership was evident. Price perspective: we paid $90ish for a very clean room with a king bed.

Great experience! Room was clean and well maintained. Service was very friendly. Very reasonably priced too. I would definitely stay again.

Room was really clean, beds were comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. My grandparents, my sister and I stayed here on the first night of our Pennsylvania road trip.

Once you get into the parking lot, you're under the sign and it's hard to verify that you're at the Best Western rather than at the Comfort Inn or whatever else is in the row of businesses. Kleenex and hand soap hadn't been replenished, so I had to ask for them. Lighting is good for hotels in this area, though if you'll be reading, you might want to bring your own lamp or a brighter bulb. There is a small table with can be moved. This should be mandatory for every hotel. Shampoo is hardly natural, but it doesn't contain the harsh, dermatitis-inducing SLS or SLES you find in most hotel shampoos. The bedspreads are washable. Less chance of cuddling up under someone else's crud. Electric outlets exist right where I need them. The shower head is high--great for taller people, but anyone under 5'5" will have a hard time adjusting the spray pattern on the shower head. Other lodging options: Husker Inn downtown is old and tiny, but amazingly friendly and always affordable. Some of the big-name hotels on the north side of I80 are filthy, so read the reviews carefully.

Their breakfast buffet changes daily, they post the menu, and its always delicious. The room had a sitting area with a couch, small refrigerator. The windows looked out into a tractor/machine dealership that must have had some problems with stealing because after dark, there were bright lights that lit up the whole yard, but the hotel had blackout drapes which shut out the light. Wanted to also give a shout out to the hotel clerk Angela that checked me in as I really enjoyed talking to her.

We have…read morestayed here before and were pleased to see that the property is undergoing an overdue facelift. Since we make frequent trips to North Platte we welcome the slight inconvenience of ongoing construction for the prospect of a clean, fresh hotel. What we want to mention is the service we received from the front desk team. After a couple days of walking around a coal-fired power plant, beef processing facility, ethanol plants, and cattle feedlots our clothes were pretty dirty. We had a dinner on our last night with local and state leaders so we thought it best to get our clothes washed. The property laundry room is located on the second floor which is where the current construction is taking place. The washer works fine but the dryer was down for the count. We were expected in less than an hour at North 40 Steak House for dinner with the North Platte mayor, two Nebraska senators, and business leaders (including the Fairfield property owner!) from the greater North Platte area. All of our clothes were soaking wet. The manager took our laundry and ran it through the hotel commercial dryers which are high speed and got things sorted in about 20 minutes. Not only were our clothes dried but the staff returned them to us folded and on hangars! We arrived for our dinner on time in freshly laundered clothes that were free of coal dust, cattle manure, beef blood, and corn mash. Day saved. Thank you to Matt, the Fairfield General Manager, for offering an effective solution! PS - We also want to mention Lisa who runs the breakfast. She ensures everyting is fresh and stocked and personally greets everyone dining in her restaurant! Great service needs to be acknowledged!

The location right off Interstate 80 is excellent, the breakfast was well worth the add-on, and even though the hotel was full, it was surprisingly quiet. Having the Nebraska State Patrol next door also adds an extra sense of security. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay.

We got in very late and staff checked to see if there were any upgraded rooms available for us with my status, but sadly there were not. The room, however, was more than fine considering the brief amount of time we actually were going to spend in it before getting on the road again the next morning with the goal of hitting Utah. Everything was clean and really the only issue with the room was that the bathtub drained very slowly and likely needed something to help with a clog further down the line. Breakfast is really where the hotel shined, it's far and away the best "budget" breakfast I've had at a hotel, of any chain or name. The buffet had two lines and each line had different items on offer, including some delicious biscuits and gravy. Then, in addition to that was also grab and go milks and some wonderful warmed cinnamon rolls. If a good breakfast is important to you, then this is the place for you in the North Platte area. Besides being very well done, staff in the dining area was very pleasant and even came around to bus tables for us--another first for me in this hotel price point!

The staff were very short (attentively speaking) and milling about cohering with the regulars to the casino games. The room. Ugh. There was splatter on the ceiling, that I'm not sure if it was blood, red wine, kool-aid, or what, but it was disgusting. We pulled back the blanket on one of the beds, ewwwww. There were either blood stains or food stains on the sheets. . Went to the lobby, after waiting for 15 minutes for the clerk to return, asked for clean sheets, he just handed them to me, (yes, to make the bed myself). Then, there was a large group of unruly teens hanging out in the patio area, kept pounding and kicking my door. Called the front desk, nothing was done. Then, the bed. The absolute hardest bed I've ever laid on. The ground probably would've been more comfortable. Then, walking to the dining area, large bins set up through several hallways collecting water leaking through the roof. WTH?! Then....the breakfast. The waffles tasted old, the eggs weren't cooked even close to enough, and the hot tea bags, were tea bags meant to make the quarts of ice tea. The hot tub was closed down with no notice on the advertisement and the pool was freezing cold and smelled funny. Just an all around disappointing stay, I'll be contacting Wyndham re: this hotel. It's an awful representation of their brand.

This was confusing and frustrating, especially since the app showed rooms as available at the time of booking. An employee then had to physically go check whether a room was actually ready. While I was waiting in the lobby, I overheard a conversation that raised serious concerns about the level of professionalism at this property. A front desk clerk informed the manager, Beth, that a gentleman had come in regarding a refund and was driving back over to speak with her. Beth responded, "Well, he can drive over. Just take a message and tell him I'm not here. I don't have time to deal with him." Hearing that exchange gave me immediate reservations about staying at this location. After a very long day of travel, I chose to remain, but it was disappointing to witness a manager speak that way about a guest concern in front of other customers. If a guest has a legitimate issue, they should feel confident that management will handle it professionally and in a timely manner. As someone who travels through this area regularly, I value professionalism, responsiveness, and basic customer service. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not feel confident that any issue during my stay would be handled appropriately. Because of that, I will choose a different location in the future.

FUTURE POTENTIAL GUESTS: If you book in advance, they can and will sell your room to someone else even if you have a confirmed prepaid reservation, their system is broken and does not reflect real time availability. Book literally anywhere else, we ended up at comfort suites about 30 minutes away and it was cheap and great. MANAGEMENT: your booking system is broken. Virtually all other hotels around you represent real time availability and yours does not. This is resulting in guests just like us, booking you thinking you are available and then arriving tired and having no where to go. Set up your hard working late night front desk people for success by not having a broken system where guests who have confirmed pre booked reservations not have a room assigned to the booking upon payment in full. Fix it.
