Hit up the museum for two meals today. Most parts were really good. "Lunch" was the chocolate cake…read morewith whipped cream, apple cake with a vanilla custard, and a lemon soda. Both cakes were good; the chocolate fudge-y with a fresh, unsweetened whipped cream. The apple cake was nice with the light custard. I think the apple cake was a little better.
Back for dinner and had the special soup; a ramen and then a small order of potato dumplings. The ramen was a bit of an interpretation; heavy on ginger, miso, and seaweed, pork hinted at 5-spice powder, but the noodles were a bit off. It was just ok. The potato dumpling was great though. A doughy potato shell around minced, seasoned pork, with lingonberries and maybe in a bit of oil or butter. This was soooo good and I want to know how to make it!
