Pricing for hotels in this area is a much better deal and offers access to great restaurants, beautiful beaches of the Spanish Riviera, plenty of shopping, and historical venues. The hotel offers parking for an additional fee although spaces are much tighter than what you would find in the US so don't plan to get an oversized vehicle in this parking garage! The folks at the front desk here are exceptionally helpful, offering maps, directions, and any special assistance which we fully utilized when one of our locks got stuck on a suitcase! Rooms are sparse and moderately sized, but are clean have all the basic amenities, including safes and air-conditioning. The lobby provides a business work area, the lounge in the evening, and the area in the morning, where breakfast is served, continental style at an additional cost per person. Great breakfast and the best coffee machine I've experienced in Spain. Very cool location to walk everywhere. Even though the beach is nearby, there is a long walk down the stairs and across the streets and rails (you cross underground) The staff knew enough english to communicate with us as well. The pool was always busy with guests. I'm sure because of it being July. There is a happening bar right across from the side entrance that has great mojitos and music. I loved Tarragona!

We visited in late December but the weather was fantastic. Overall, it was a perfect romantic getaway location and we'll certainly come back to this location next time we are in Tarragona. So if you're willing to walk for a while, or take a short bus ride from the stop nearby, this can save you a *lot* of money. Due to the cost of excavating around the protected Roman ruins, the parking rates in Tarragona are incredibly high -- more than in many big cities. This hotel is also very close to the beach -- handy in the summer. There's nothing else really special about this hotel, but the staff were friendly toward us, and the place is clean and quiet.
