Normally I have had great experiences with Hurricane Towing. I have used them a handful of times and although late every time, they were courteous and did a great job. Tonight, they dropped the ball and left my bride stranded longer. She was out of fuel and called AAA. Hurricane's computer board message to AAA? "No Fuel Delivery Tonight." No phone call to follow up, no communication with my bride. Luckily AAA has other providers. I'm really disappointed with Hurricane Towing. Usually late, but normally dependable. Not this time. UPDATE/EDIT The owner contacted me a few days after the bad experience. He was fair and courteous and I really appreciate that the owner of the company took time to reach out and make things right. I needed my car towed and my insurance company sent Hurricane Towing after another company didn't seem to understand that I needed a flatbed truck. I've used Hurricane Towing twice and each time it was a flawless and great experience. Brian was the driver this time and he was exceptional. I used hurricane towing today, through my insurance company's roadside assistance program. Initially started out just fine...set up the tow with the dispatcher, who was quick and courteous. Was told that it would be 90 minutes before a truck could reach me. No problem. Wrong...after 30 minutes past that 90 minute window, my insurance company called to make sure the towing company had showed up. Nothing. My agent called hurricane to make sure everything was ok and was told that they would be another 35 mins. Fine, as it was raining and I'm sure they were busy. As I'm writing this, it is now 2 1/2 hrs past the 90 minute window. I have made two more personal calls to hurricane, who said it would be another 20 minutes both times. This is BS. If you can't handle the call, decline it so I can find a different company. Poor management. I don't see how this is a preferred towing company for a major insurance company. They take advantage of people in an already miserable situation. read more

My experience was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This company is UNPROFESSIONAL. First off, the estimated time of arrival was less than hour according to AAA. After an hour an a half, I called the business. When I called the business, the rep acted confused. She even stated that I was requesting "tow service". I requested to have my tire changed. She then stated that the estimated time was actually ninety minutes. I then asked if she could contact the service technician to get an estimated time of arrival. She stated that she would contact them and give me a call back. This NEVER happened. I then called AAA who apologized on her behalf. They insisted that a servicemen was in route and would arrive in fifteen to twenty minutes. After twenty five minutes I called AAA back. This time I was told that it would thirty minutes before the technician arrives. I called Hurricane Towing back. I wanted to know why my call was never returned. She receptionist acted as if she didn't even know who I was or that I even called. Again, a call was made at 7:55pm for a tire change. It was a quarter to eleven, and I never even heard from them. I had my van towed on June 29th by Hurricane towing to an auto shop for repairs. I picked up my van the next day and saw the front bumper was damaged. I called Hurricane and reported the damage to Daniel the manager. I took the van by and showed him, he said he would call me back after getting the tow ticket from the driver. I went by the auto repair shop and got the carbon copy of the ticket and it didn't mention any bumper damage on the ticket. I got two estimates from different body shops and took them to Daniel at Hurricane and he said he would know something the next day this was July 9th. Recently I had to utilize a roadside assistance program for which Hurricane Towing is a service provider and I have to say that I was 100% impressed with their professionalism and promptness. The tow truck operator arrived within 5 minutes of the arrival time I had received (which was a huge plus in my opinion) and had my car loaded and ready to transport within 15 minutes - all with a very professional and pleasant attitude. A few things that impressed me were (1) the operator took the time to explain to me certain steps that needed to be taken in order to tow my car properly including showing me what attachments in my tow kit needed to go where, (2) took the time to remind me to have the dealership replace a certain panel that had to be removed, (3) and placed pads beneath the various straps that came into contact with the paint on my car so as not to scratch the paint. My car made it safely to the dealership and all was well - not a mark on it and everything was put back where it belonged. Often times towing can be a stressful experience but this company made it painless. I highly recommend Hurricane Towing and would use them again if needed (but let's hope not). read more

do not use this tow yard!!! do not trust their mechanic dennis. dennis lied and gave us the run around all day. we had a car accident 8 hours away from home and dennis gave us the runaround all weekend long. he also lied and said our car was fixed and expected us to pay him $124 for work that was never done. beware of this tow company. especially their scam artist mechanic dennis the menace!!! read more

i used hurricane towing last week and my experience was horrible. i habe used them in the past but they seem to have all different people there now. this time i waited 2 hrs and 20 minutes on a wrecker. i called the office several times to check the status because i had my granddaughter with me and it was getting cold and melissa i think was her name was very rude and pretty much dumb founded about what was going on. the driver who finally showed up was very dirty and snappy with me. i am not sure what has happened to the company but a lady used to run the place and was so friendly and knowledgeable i asked about her to the driver and when i called and was told she was fired for not taking pride in her job. i told the driver there must had been a mixup. he stated no brandi is who u must be talking about and she cost us a contract and a lot of money so our boss got rid off her..i told him someone needs to wake up because i had horrible service tonight by phone and you. at that point we were pulling up to my house he got out of the truck unlatched my car and flew it off the bed and told me have a nice day i asked for a reciept he said i didn't pay so i couldn't have one because i didn't pay. the driver was on the phone the entire time talking about probation i believe as he slung us from one side of the truck to the other. please be aware this company is no good anymore about 1 year and a half ago i would have recommended anyone to this company. today i will never use them again.. please get things together before a careless driver and rude office personnel make your day worse read more
