The owners are wonderful…read moreto work with - they explained everything that would be done, how long it will take, etc. One of the things I particularly appreciated was there were no hard-sell tactics, and their price was much better than 2 other roofing companies I'd talked to. The crew was polite and hardworking and the owners were on-site checking to make sure everything was going smoothly. Clean up was impeccable - and they cleaned up as they went - for instance, when they were tearing off the old shingles in the back, they had heavy drop cloths down in my lanai/pool area and then removed them as soon as they were done in that area so I could be out there if I wanted. And they used a large magnet to make sure they got all of the nails that might have fallen on the ground. [They did the same thing all around the house.] They did a clean-up before they left the first day so that you'd never know they were there, which was wonderful. We were out of the house the second day and when we came back that evening, they'd finished, cleaned up everything, and, the best part, we had a gorgeous new roof! I can't recommend A.G.U. Roofing highly enough. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Extremely Disappointed - Misleading Financing and Unfair Practices…read more I would never recommend A.G.U. Roofing Company after my experience. I originally contacted them about getting a new roof and solar using the PACE financing program offered by the State of Florida. A.G.U. told me in writing that the interest rate would be 7.99%, which sounded reasonable. Based on that, I agreed to move forward. When I got the final numbers, the rate had jumped to 12.79%, far higher than what was promised. I told them that was too much and decided to do just the roof and pay cash instead. I ended up paying over $20,000 for the roof alone, which I later found out was very high compared to other estimates I received. Now, even after I've paid in full for the roof, A.G.U. is trying to charge me a $1,000 cancellation fee just because I didn't do the solar. That is completely unfair, especially since their own misleading information about the interest rate is the reason I canceled the solar in the first place. This company's sales tactics are deceptive, their pricing is excessive, and their business practices are unacceptable. Be very careful before signing anything with them. I truly regret doing business with A.G.U. Roofing.

Investing so much money was anxiety inducing, particularly after reading horror stories about botched jobs and unscrupulous roofers, but I was determined to make a well-informed decision. I spent two months studying roofs, learning about types of materials and construction, reading articles and blogs, and making phone calls--lots of phone calls. I called an engineer. I called the county building department. I called friends. And I called about a dozen roofing companies in the Orlando area (I could probably write an essay about the nonsense I heard from some of these companies). I listened carefully and researched their responses. I read reviews and I read every line in the contracts sent to me by about half of them. I was relentless because this was my kid I was protecting. Happily, my diligence paid off and my daughter now has a quality roof and sparkling new gutters. Robert Bonesteel at Sheegog Contracting was the project manager I worked with. He spent MONTHS speaking with me. I can honestly say that no one has ever worked harder for my business. Through it all, Robert was extremely kind and never once made me feel that my questions were stupid. He explained things clearly and sometimes took over an hour to clarify something. He never pressured me and encouraged me to read and investigate other companies, which I absolutely did.  Sheegog didn't just slap on a roof. They used GAF Timberline HDZ premium shingles. They repaired decking under the leak and addressed other minor issues. The work site was spotless when they left, but Robert wasn't satisfied. He came out with a magnetic detector and scoured the area for stray nails. He answered my questions and pointed out repairs. He sent a wind mitigation expert. I'm immensely grateful for Robert's kindness and his company's excellent work. I got brand new skylights and new seal and tar and shingles replaced. They did a stress test on my whole roof and let me know my roof was good for another 5years. They are great to deal with, fast and friendly, and low rates. They beat most of their competitors that I had gotten quotes from and they arrived fast to complete the job. What a nightmare!…read more Century roofing replaced our roof after hurricane Milton, and destroyed our home due to their poor workmanship and complete lack of accountability to repair properly. Our roof was "completed" on January 4, 2025 and immediately started collecting pools of water under the roofing material. We contracted for a modified bitumen flat roof replacement with a hard 3/8" silicone protective coating. That style roof is tightly bonded to the underlying hard material. What they installed, without our knowledge nor consent, was a loose plastic sheeting that was poorly attached at the edges with a thin 3/4" flashing and sealed with acrylic caulking. none of that would have passed a building inspection. Did I mention that they never pulled a permit, as required by law? Well the acrylic caulking melted away on the first warm day (which is almost any day in Florida). Water constantly built up under the cheap plastic roofing material and we could feel waves whenever we walked on it. The expensive silicone coating that was to harden more than concrete within six months, never bonded and crumbled like sand to the touch. Our home interior became unusable for months due to ceiling collapse, water damage and mold. it smelled horrible for months. We reported the problem immediately, and often until October, when we realized that they would never repair it. They had sent people to randomly caulk areas to "fix" the leak, even though it was apparent that the entire seal was faulty and that the materials under the cheap plastic were full of water and mold. One time, the home office sent a crew to replace one piece of underpayment, which they did while completely ignoring that all of the surrounding wood and materials b egg low the plastic were very wet and moldy. The owner himself even came out and declared the roof to be dry and properly installed. we have videos from before and after his visit showing puddles of water below the cheap plastic material. We never once went onto our roof from January until October without feeling those puddles under our feet. Iur flat roof is actually our terrace that we use regular. it was clear that their repairs were never going to fix the problem and our home would remain unusable until we hired someone to replace their work in the flat roof. Both areas of flat roof needed to be completely removed and started from scratch. So we had to pay another roofer to do that. A few days after the owner of Century declared the roof good, the new roofer pulled it up and found 80% of the wood was rotten due to water damage and mold. None of the industry standard methods of sealing the roof had been performed. Just short cut after short cut. We also had to pay another contractor to remediate the water damage and mold throughout the interior of the house that all came from the century roofing installation. We had just redone the interior earlier in the year after hurricane Milton, so everything was good before the horrible roof from century destroyed it. I wish that I could say something positive about Century Roofing, but I had to pay to replace my roof twice plus several thousand dollars more to remediate the damage caused by their poor workmanship and defective construction.

They made me sign the AOB (assignment of benefits) which mean your insurance pays them instead of you. My roof was leaking and the roofing company told me they don't know how long the fight with insurance will continue and there is no guarantee that my insurance would pay us to fix the roof. So I went ahead and fixed that damage area plus all the damages inside the house. Six months later my insurance company agreed to pay them. They sent the check directly to the Orlando Roofing Company and I did not even know how much they paid them. This company came and changed the roof and did A VERY BAD JOB!! They tore my window screens and they were so rough on the roof that the fan in my bathroom fell down!! They covered the attic ventilation where the heat was supposed to scape, with shingles. They ruined my yard and patio furnitures by throwing the old shingles down, and the flower beds and driveway were filled with crap and nails. When I called them to come back and fix what they damaged and especially fix the opening in the attic, the crook owner "FRANK" told me: (Don't even talk about it and let it go because we are not coming back!!!) This means the warranty they give you is all BS!! After my insurance company paid them, they cancelled my insurance. I called the insurance to find out how much they paid them because I never got any information. My insurance paid them $45,000 from which $11.300 was to fix the interior damages but I fixed it out of my own pocket and the ORC (Orlando Roofing Company) kept the money my insurance paid them specifically for that. I had to get a lawyer and fight for 6 months till they paid me 1/2 of $11.300!! When my insurance company sent me the papers, I saw that the roofing company claimed damages in my house that did not exist, like living and dining rooms and the kitchen, they even included a picture of someone else's house just to collect more money from my insurance. The whole damages including the roof were not more than $30,000 but with the insurance fraud ORC did, they got more than $45,0000!! I am planing to report them to the authorities for insurance fraud. DO NOT HIRE THIS FRAUD COMPANY neither sign AOB with any company unless you request "IN WRITING" two signatures to cash the check that your insurance company will issue(the home owner signature and the roofing company signature) otherwise the roofing companies especially Orlando Roofing Company, are bunch of crooks and they wait till they find a naive homeowner to open their trap for them!!
