I have PLENTY of money in my back account. I just called to find out why they didn't pick up my trash today. "We've suspended the account for non-payment". Well, I'm SO SORRY my dad died! I'm SO SORRY that my life is a little chaotic right now. "We all have struggles in life." Perhaps a call would have been nice!?!?!?!?!?!?! "We sent you a reminder email.". Very small- town mentality, SO lazy lazy lazy that they can't even pick up the phone to provide a courtesy call to someone who regularly pays promptly. I would have even accepted a text message!!!!!! They use a totally crappy web service for payments. I immediately went on to pay, because like I said, I have PLENTY in my bank account and PLENTY of cash on hand. There was NO WHERE to see when the payment was actually due. I found the email from 3/31/2025. "NET 30 DAYS". DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT NET 30 DAYS MEANS????? Maybe you could actually provide a DUE DATE. Before today I would have actually given them a decent rating, but if you go with Thompsons, just know you will be dealing with a bunch of small-town bumpkins who don't understand the basics of business (which is what I went to COLLEGE for - you know, ACTUAL education and training). If you want professional, educated, quality customer service and business portals for payments and understanding your bills, and WHEN THEY ARE DUE, use a different company. Worked with a sales person when signing a lease who assured us that WM doesn't tack on extra fees. Promised us that he'd get them all waived if we ever saw any. Monthly bill is supposed to be around $600 and we're on the 4th month in a row of $2,200+ or more. If a tenant leaves an empty box on top of the dumpster, $1,000 fee. Tenant leaves an item in front of or next to the dumpster, $1,000 fee. If the wind is blowing from the north rather than the south, $1,000 fee. Nothing ever waived as promised. We're at a point now where it will be cheaper for us to cut WM a check for $12,000 to just stop providing us with garbage services than to continue down this path. Feels like an absolute scam. Stay with your local garbage service. Pay the extra $10-20 per month to work with someone located in Fairmont rather than having to deal with a salesperson in Phoenix, AZ.
