Newburgh Theological Seminary is an excellent school for theological training. I have done seminary…read moretraining at other seminaries and I can truly say that Newburgh Theological Seminary is second-to-none. The staff and professors are great and the courses are designed to challenge and equip you with the academic knowledge necessary for fruitful work for the kingdom of God. Newburgh Theological Seminary is affordable for any income budget and you want be stuck with gigantic debt after completion of your degree program. I am a graduate of Newburgh's PhD in Biblical preaching program and enjoyed every minute. I had to do lots of reading, research, and writing. Writing my doctoral dissertation was the culmination of the program. The program was rigorous and rewarding. Newburgh uses the best textbooks that are in the field of study that you may want to pursue and are constantly researching other solid textbooks to enhance further their degree programs. For anyone desiring to pursue theological seminary training without breaking the bank, then I highly recommend Newburgh Theological Seminary. You will be glad that you did. Ray A. Excellent School. Great professors and staff. Christ-centered, Bible believing studies. I had some…read morequestions and doubts about Newburgh Seminary. I had attended traditional schools and paid thousands of dollars. I no longer had $30,000 or more for my education. To make a long story short I enrolled in their Doctoral program and enjoyed every minute of my studies. The program was self-paced and affordable. I have an MDIV from a very Accredited seminary. The MDIV cost mega thousands of dollars. What can you do with an MDIV degree? You can pastor a church, serve on a church staff, do ministry work, chaplaincy, pastoral care and possibly teach at a small Christian school. You can do all the same things with a Master's degree from Newburgh Theological Seminary. Some people are focused on having an Accreditation from a government accreditation group. Many of these schools that have government accreditation may teach evolution, do not believe in the infallibility of scripture and have a liberal agenda. When a school has government accreditation then this closes the separation of church and state gap. If you want to be a teacher at a state university or federally accredited school then by all means you should go to a school that has a federal/government accreditation. My opportunities to serve have increased after receiving my Doctoral degree from Newburgh. Newburgh is a ministry school that has ministered to me and has helped me as I minister to others.

Genuinely don't come here. The students and professors are alright for the most part. But…read moreeverything else is pretty bad. The President and Board of Trustees only care about money and it shows. A lot of the buildings on campus (particularly the dorms) are full of mold. The administration building is actually falling apart. The new dorms they built are not structurally stable. The food is atrocious. Some days it's fine, other days it's not even cooked all the way. I've found fingernails in my food and I know someone who found a rusty bolt in their's. Not to mention that on the weekends they rarely provide more than eggs and sausages. The food is strait up not healthy either. The amount of times I and people I know have gotten food poisoning is insane. The parking situation is terrible and security on campus is severely lacking. I think this school could be great but it's owned by some of the most rotten and greedy people, people who maybe only ever see the school once a year at most. These people are dragging the school into the dirt and they have the audacity to raise prices on the school too. If you're thinking of going to UE, DON'T. They lie to you on the tours, they lie to you when you're here, and they'll only ask for more money when you leave. This school is the epitome of what happens when you let asshats who only care about their own pockets own an institution. If you don't believe me, look up the President's wikipedia page. The longest section is on controversies he's caused while he's been here. Please, Please, Please pick another school.

I do have a complaint though. A person I know (let's call him Dodji for confidentiality reasons) promised me that sleezy Chris Mack was about to get hired as bball coach but it never happened. Dodji even told me that Mack had put down a deposit on an apartment at the mission viejo complex on the west side. Rumor is he was going to work part time at los bravos just to make a little extra cash since his salary at UE was only gonna be 80% of ticket sales. Dodji should not be trusted and please don't go visit him at the hooters off green river road. Over
