Why not? Look at the cool photo. Army men and women keep us safe. This is a pretty nice base, even though it is a small one. I do like the golf course. It isn't as nice as Ft Gordon, but it is nice. Also they do have a nice campground, and an excellent gym. There is nice outdoor pool with a kiddy slide. They have small bowling alley, with great prices. There is a hobby shop here too if you are into that sort of thing. There is a tiny exchange, but not all the name brand stuff is here. No Coach bags here ladies! There is not a PX-ta here either. Blast! Also if you are from another branch of the military, don't even think about going to clothing sales. You branch will not be represented here. Last but not least for goodness sake, DON'T SPEED or use a PHONE on base. They ticket, they ticket often and it is costly. There are like 2 MP's for every square foot here. Be safe. So far so good we have been here almost 2 weeks and everyone has been super nice . The commissary though small still has a little bit of everything we need . The px is small as well but has a lot of different items . With that being said the post is in the middle of Savannah . So if you can't find anything on post you can almost always find it off post . Close to the beach which I love and has lots of activities for people and families . There are several ponds for fishing . Just don't feed or harass the gators . read more
