Everything you want from a food truck! You can expect hearty, delicious sandwiches and sides from this awesome place in Tobermory. Staff was very friendly, and food is made to order. We were in Tobermory for 3 days and went to the Hungry hiker twice for lunch because it was just that good! We ordered the Thanksgiving special called the "Gobbler" - consisting of smoked turkey, cranberry sauce, gravy and homemade stuffing. Perfect for a crisp fall day! I believe their most popular item is the beef brisket sandwich which was also delicious! It's a messy sandwich but it's amazing. I also tried one of their breakfast sandwiches which had a healthy amount of fried eggs, bacon and cheese on a brioche bun. Absolutely hit the spot. Lastly, their Dilly Tots were *chef's kiss*. Perfectly crispy out the outside, and fluffy on the inside. Loaded with dill to season with a sour cream dill sauce on the side. The only "downside" is that there is only outdoor seating. While it isn't the most comfortable, its part of the vibe. It probably isn't a big deal in the summer but for a chillier day, many people were eating inside their car. read more

Ambiance: This is a cute food truck located in the back of the owner's home lot, if you're lucky you'll get to see the owner's dog Annie in her backyard pen. This place is a solid option since they have a covered patio section for bad weather, a small playground for energetic kids, and dog water bowl for furry kids. There is a single port-a-potty if you need as well. The owner is super friendly and food comes out in a reasonable amount of time considering it's usually just one guy cooking. Food: Believer - Packed with 2-3 large eggs, bell pepper, bacon, sriracha mayo, and served with a brioche bun. It's a hearty breakfast sandwich with just enough zip to keep things interesting 4.5/5 Western - A classic egg sandwich with cheese and a smidge of ham. It's plainer than the Believer but larger and more filling. 3/5 Reuben - Pretty legit with buttered rye bread crisped on the griddle. The corned beef is warmed evenly and tender. You may want to request extra sauerkraut if you're a lover of it but it comes with a reasonable amount normally. They also serve it with a side of homemade honey mustard which is an interesting twist. This is a bit greasy but probably my favorite 5/5 Yeti - This is a seriously crunchy and juicy chicken breast sandwich. The sauce is kind of a sweet heat bbq sauce which is very tasty. It is topped with a tasty and mild coleslaw which brightens things up. A bit small to be a full meal but dang good l, my second favorite 5/5 Overall the 4.5 star rating here is well justified. The menu is extensive for a food truck and they're genuinely making fresh gourmet food. It's honestly one of the best places in Tobermory and out-competes the actual sit-down restaurants. Really good spot in the Tobermory area. Small little truck and lots of seating in the woods. Perfect spot in summer and fall. The sandwiches are really good. We had fried chicken sandwich and grilled cheese and both were really good. The two ladies behind the counter were lovely and funny. Plenty of parking, so no stress. Overall, a good spot for a quick bite where you can relax and enjoy the woods. read more

OMG! Excellent breakfast and lunch spot in Tobermory! The cheese beef brisket was outstanding ! Sweet smokey bbq beef brisket layered with cheddar cheese in large perfectly toasted sourdough slices! My guys were jealous and they ordered 2 more! When you're out on the water there aren't too many option other than the local Foodland. We also got the dilly tots and fried oreos at 10:30 AM as they close at 3PM! Oh and RJ at the Tobermory boat launch was awesome! Super friendly! We went there for breakfast. Food is good. Service is fine. Seating is a few patio tables and chairs. The only thing that bugs me is that it is at a parking lot and it gets really dusty whenever there is a car driving in. It is not ideally to eat at the location. Better off buying takeout to eat elsewhere. Overall, it is nothing compared to anything in GTA and it is not cheap (for a food truck's food). But if you are visiting Tobermory, there aren't really any better choices I suppose. read more

Picked up a Toasted Western, Smoked Brisket on Brioche, and a few coffees for breakfast. They are open from 7am to 3pm so it's the perfect spot to grab an early breakfast before exploring Tobermory. The food was really good and service was friendly and quick. They also have a few tables in front of the truck if you want to sit down and eat instead of taking the food for the road. read more

This has got to be the best lunch place in Tobermory!!! If you are a foodie, you will LOVE this place. Plenty of outdoor shade, you can relax under the trees. Family owned and WONDERFUL service. Plenty of parking (for those of you getting kicked out of the Flowerpot parking lot), and FOOD. Incredible. Summer 2022 and Hungry Hiker is still the only game in town worth going too. Highlights include exceptionally nice owners and beautiful landscaped spot to eat in and play some corn hole. We ate there several times during our cottage summer- personal faves include the tub muffin & the western for a breakfast meal. Late lunch faves are anything with famous smoked brisket, dilly tots and fried Oreos. (Don't deprive yourself- indulge and just hike a bit further on the trails!!). And hey Tobermory - heads up!! Don't go to Crows Nest for bagged salad and bottled dressing. Or for their frozen pizza!!! Take a stroll down Hwy 6 and get some real food!! read more

This lovely restaurant is very kid-friendly, think toys and free freezies for the kids. They are so friendly and welcoming, and it's beautiful to eat outside. It's a bit unnoticeable from Hwy 6 but once you try to look for it, it's pretty easy to find with the signs near the road! The owners seem nice and service is standard for a food truck. I saw a review that mentioned the parking lot being dusty when other cars drive in - I can definitely see that as the road is unpaved so maybe eat in your car instead if it's a busy day. Personally we liked the Believer a bit better than the classic toasted western but all the options we tried were good. I can see why locals frequent this place too! Food is pretty good though - we actually went back again on the same day to try the smoked brisket on brioche bun! Only thing to note is that this place closes pretty early - 3pm, so make sure you come for breakfast/lunch! read more

How lucky were we to drive by this space and grab brunch here. This place is run by locals and the food is absolutely scrumptious. Menu isn't very large and everything they make is super delicious. Best food in Tobermory!!! Out of all the sit down restaurants with mediocre food we ate at, this little gem of a place is the best!!

Food was great. The brisket was really tasty, definitely recommend. Very friendly people.
