    Grilled Cheese Brisket Sandwich

OMG! Excellent breakfast and lunch spot in Tobermory! The cheese beef brisket was outstanding ! Sweet smokey bbq beef brisket layered with cheddar cheese in large perfectly toasted sourdough slices! My guys were jealous and they ordered 2 more! When you're out on the water there aren't too many option other than the local Foodland. We also got the dilly tots and fried oreos at 10:30 AM as they close at 3PM! Oh and RJ at the Tobermory boat launch was awesome! Super friendly! Gonna check out Cove Island on his recommendation.

We went there for breakfast. Food is good. Service is fine. Seating is a few patio tables and chairs. The only thing that bugs me is that it is at a parking lot and it gets really dusty whenever there is a car driving in. It is not ideally to eat at the location. Better off buying takeout to eat elsewhere. Overall, it is nothing compared to anything in GTA and it is not cheap (for a food truck's food). But if you are visiting Tobermory, there aren't really any better choices I suppose.

Picked up a Toasted Western, Smoked Brisket on Brioche, and a few coffees for breakfast. They are open from 7am to 3pm so it's the perfect spot to grab an early breakfast before exploring Tobermory. The food was really good and service was friendly and quick. They also have a few tables in front of the truck if you want to sit down and eat instead of taking the food for the road.

Summer 2022 and Hungry Hiker is still the only game in town worth going too. Highlights include exceptionally nice owners and beautiful landscaped spot to eat in and play some corn hole. We ate there several times during our cottage summer- personal faves include the tub muffin & the western for a breakfast meal. Late lunch faves are anything with famous smoked brisket, dilly tots and fried Oreos. (Don't deprive yourself- indulge and just hike a bit further on the trails!!). And hey Tobermory - heads up!! Don't go to Crows Nest for bagged salad and bottled dressing. Or for their frozen pizza!!! Take a stroll down Hwy 6 and get some real food!!

It's a bit unnoticeable from Hwy 6 but once you try to look for it, it's pretty easy to find with the signs near the road! The owners seem nice and service is standard for a food truck. I saw a review that mentioned the parking lot being dusty when other cars drive in - I can definitely see that as the road is unpaved so maybe eat in your car instead if it's a busy day. Personally we liked the Believer a bit better than the classic toasted western but all the options we tried were good. I can see why locals frequent this place too! Food is pretty good though - we actually went back again on the same day to try the smoked brisket on brioche bun! Only thing to note is that this place closes pretty early - 3pm, so make sure you come for breakfast/lunch!

Best food in Tobermory!!! Out of all the sit down restaurants with mediocre food we ate at, this little gem of a place is the best!!

We were directed to this food truck when we checked into our hotel in Tobermory…read more It was a great find! The fish was fresh, the breading was tasty and the homemade tartar sauce was awesome. The chips were amazing as well. If this was down the road from my home, I'm sure I'd be there every week. Just a note, it is not hard miss. If headed towards Tobermory, it will be on your right shortly before you get to any of the entrances to Bruce Peninsula National Park. If headed from town, you will pass both the Cypress Lake entrances and the one just south of there (don't remember the name). Look for the Lonewolf Drive Thru sign Fish is served from around 11:30 with the last order taken at 7:30.

I came here based on all the good reviews on Yelp. It's a cute little chip wagon (now a renovated…read moretrailer) We ordered a large fry and a large poutine just as travel food. It took 30 minutes for them to call our number. Granted, they were pretty busy... But 30 minutes for 2 orders of fries is a little crazy. My fries were good (although not 30 minutes good) but could have been a little warmer. The person I was with said their poutine was good. I don't eat meat so this review is based solely on the fries and service. I'd still recommend checking it out for yourself! OH and the address here on Yelp didn't take us to the chip wagon. We had to continue driving until we saw it on the left hand side (leaving tobermory) which was about 7km.

If you're in Tobermory and love to eat smash burgers, you'll love Lacy's!…read more I got their Classic Burger Double Patty and Special Burger Double Patty and it was amazing! The Classic Burger is what you expect but the quality of the smash patty is really on point, the sauce, pickles, the bun are great too! The Special Burger Double Patty was even more amazing though! The truffle aioli and the onion jam made it very tasty and unique!

Ambiance: This food trailer is right in front of the Little Cove Adventures building. The seating…read morearea is just three picnic tables on a very weed-y lawn covered in crabapples so not the most scenic. The trees do provide some shade but there is no water bowl for dogs. The owner/chef was very friendly however and everything is made fresh to order. Food: Special burger - Basically these are thin smash burgers served with cheese and caramelized onions. The meat is high quality and you can tell from the pic he gets the textbook crispy edges. I would definitely order the double for a more filling meal and only wish it had tomatoes and lettuce to brighten it up a bit. 4/5 Nashville hot chicken - I admittedly thought it seemed funny to get Nashville chicken while in Canada but this place is no joke. The dark meat chicken is juicy and tender while the freshly-fried breading is crazy crispy. The flavor is actually very accurate and the heat level is perfect, just enough to make you pause after the first bite but not enough to slow you down while you demolish it. The pickles and small amount of sauce keep everything from being too dry as well. I would gladly eat two of these for a meal, best thing on the menu 5/5 Poutine - Probably the weakest option, the larger cut makes everything more potato-y and less crispy. The curds are huge chunks which are fun to look at but they stay colder in the center and don't quite melt. The gravy has a good flavor though. 3/5 Overall this place doesn't have a large menu but what it does, it does pretty well. There are lots of burger options nearby but this is the only one serving true smash burgers and it has the best chicken sandwich in town. The portions may be a little smaller but the quality is good. I would consider this as a good lunch option.
