I've always been fascinated with Human Nature's entire business and the way it keeps growing and growing, yet still remains affordable. I used to only see them in portions of shelves in selected supermarkets, then it become kiosks, then they were in the beauty stores, until finally they had their own free-standing stores. It's pretty cool how they keep developing new products as well. I've tried a few of them in the past-- the Sunflower Oil, the Night Moisturizer, the Acne Gel-- and they've all worked for me! So when the new Marikina store opened, I really wanted to take the time to drop by.
The store is really nice! It looks like a cafe, almost, with wooden tables and chairs set up and free coffee/tea. Here, ALL the Human Nature products are available. Even all the other GK products like Bayani Brew, Theo/Philo chocolates, and the locally-sourced coffee beans. I had a fun time looking through all the shelves which were nicely arranged, with prices clearly reflected, and shelf-talkers that had interesting info on the items for sale. There are also nice displays on the different counters. But I really made a beeline for the makeup products that I've always wanted to try. :P
I have very sensitive skin and it takes a few tries before I find the right products to use. What I like about Human Nature is how there really is truth to the claim that they're all-natural. At least, based on my experience and from what friends have said. I'm not super knowledgable about makeup but I do use some stuff that are always on the natural-looking side. Human Nature's makeup line complements that with natural shades suitable for both fair and morena skin. I wanna start small, so this time I just bought the tinted lip balms. I got each color 'cos it's really cheap, teehee! So far I like all of it! Great substitute for actual lipstick. I'm gonna go back and work my way through the other products, especially the mineral makeup.
Great brand with a great thrust. Go check out the Marikina store!
NOTE: Surprisingly, they're one of those businesses that don't honor the Senior Citizen discount if there's already a different promo. I don't get why some do this! People, assert yourselves. They are required by law to honor this because the Senior Citizen discount is a privilege, not an optional "promo" you choose over a store's marketing promo. C'mon Human Nature, diba Pro-Philippines? ;) read more
