Update: The office…read moremanager was extremely short with me and pretty rude. She spent 30+ minutes arguing with me over the phone and placing the blame on me. Accusing me of lying about what her staff told me, only to later admit that they DID resubmit my bill, but she personally did not code in error. The representative from my health insurance company had the exact same experience and concurred that she was condescending and argumentative. We filed a complaint and an appeal. I have never in my life dealt with such a horrible office. I did exactly as I was instructed and as soon as my insurance company calls to ask them to place a hold on my account while they file an appeal (which even if it's approved, the doctor will STILL get 100% of the contracted rate), she informs her, not me, that I've been sent to collections. Come again? So let me get this straight. I was told to wait for the bill to be sent after they resubmit the claim... I do just that and go above and beyond, calling their office multiple times over a few days to try and pay this bill... and you send me to collections. It's been 10 days (including Thanksgiving) since the bill was dated (not placed in my mailbox, the billing date). Mkay... ABSOLUTELY horrible, misinformed staff. DO NOT go here, especially if you have Piedmont WellStar insurance. They will tell you that you are covered and he's in network, but surprise! He's not. Also, you'll be told that the bill was coded wrong and to wait for the correct bill, only it will be the exact same bill and you will be considered past due and then they will send you to collections, apparently. Their office is supposed to be open until 5pm but they will turn over the phones at 4:30pm. My insurance company attempted to contact them on my behalf and that's when they told her I was sent to collections. Funny, because the FOUR times I called yesterday, no one bothered to inform me of this. I was also told, twice, that I should've been covered, that I should call my insurance company, and that they DO take my insurance. Yet the insurance lady told me that Angel or Angela at this office told her that "WellStar people can't come here". So wait, you are denying patients now based on their insurance? Insurance that you verified before and at time of service? Insurance that wrote off part of the original bill (therefore, it IS covered)? Complete nightmare, this place. On top of that, I waited an hour and a half (taking time out of my workday, and money out of my pocket) to see Dr. Singh. Apparently he's world class and someone flew overseas to see him. Great first impression from a staff that was extremely apathetic and couldn't care less that I was a new patient waiting forever and a day to have someone look up my behind for two seconds and send me a $400 bill. I hope Dr. Singh sees this review. I want him to know that his office is horrible and is going to turn patients away. Aside from the extremely long wait time (which I was told happens quite frequently with him -- WHY NOT TELL NEW PATIENTS THAT?!?!), Dr. Singh is not a bad doctor. I would not recommend Dr. Alan Goldman based on my experience…read more I went to see Dr. Goldman for hemorrhoid treatment, and before recommending rubber band ligation, there was very little examination or investigation into whether I was actually a good candidate for the procedure. I was simply prescribed a cream, used it for a few days, and then returned for the banding procedure. Since the procedure, I have experienced severe pain for more than three weeks. The pain has been debilitating, affecting my daily life and often leaving me confined to bed. Despite multiple follow-ups, I have not received a clear explanation, effective treatment plan, or solution for the ongoing pain. I understand that complications can happen with any medical procedure, but what has been most frustrating is the lack of thorough evaluation beforehand and the lack of meaningful support afterward. Patients trust their doctors to carefully assess risks and provide appropriate follow-up care when complications arise. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing, and I would not choose this provider again.

It was less than a whole business day later, that all surgeries got canceled indefinitely due to the ongoing coronavirus virus situation. I realize closing surgeries was not the surgeon's call, but there was a lot of danger in having me wait this out, as I have secondary complications if I did this via ER in the pending months of outbreak. I suspect it's been broken for the last seven years. I felt my evaluation should have been seen more of a priority. The three star is also up there because my medical records never ended up at their place even though I sent them weeks in advance. I felt the office should have called me as my appointment was approaching, to let me know they still weren't there because myself and main GP thought they were.
