I tried this centre after recommendations by friends but my original scepticism of this model of…read morediet was confirmed. The whole philosophy is that you need to take supplements to lose weight. So the diet is standard for everyone - nothing special - and then you pay for the supplements (40 euros). One month later I developed urticaria from those supplements and now I have to take antihistamines for a very long time until it goes away. I showed the supplements to my doctors (dermatologists and allergists) and they all told me to throw them away, they are rubbish. So many preservatives and combinations of substances that can only cause you problems. In the last week I followed this method, I lost 1 kilo even with no supplements. It's all because you eliminate carbs and other types of foods that you lose weight, not because of the supplements. Also, you don't want to lose weight by drinking powder foods. It's not healthy. That said, the dietitian in Ixelles is very friendly and nice. But I didn't like the fact that she kept insisting I needed supplements to lose weight. I understand though that that's her job. I know people that followed this diet and they had no problem, but wanted people to be aware also of the potential problems.
