Choosing the Hughes as our realtors to sell our home in Cedar Park, was the best decision we made in our cross country move! I'll warn you this is a long review but I think you need all the context to truly understand this dynamic real estate couple.
To set the stage I was 6 months pregnant in a high risk pregnancy (my son tried to join us at 24 weeks, don't worry he changed his mind and waited to arrive at 41 weeks). Needless to say it was a very scary time in our life. My husband had just been offered the career of a lifetime, literally his dream job.. This was one of those once in a lifetime opportunities! I knew we wouldn't get another chance like this, so even with the challenges we decided to move forward and relocate to Orlando Florida; so he could pursue his lifelong dream of working for a Video Game Company.
Now came the need to find a great realtor. We had only purchased our home 2 years prior, it was a new construction and frankly we had the WORSE experience with a realtor. Needless to say we were gun shy and scared to not repeat the past. So this time we took a more pragmatic approach and interviewed 5 realtors, each basically auditioned with their approach and methods and what they thought our home was worth. Honestly most realtors take a similar approach to marketing your home, so that wasn't a huge differentiator for us. What set Kyle and Sarah apart for us was how prepared they were... that and their passion, energy and tenacity. We reviewed their website, social media posts and videos, the works! All these little pieces showed us a real estate duo who was completely engrossed in the industry. They had amazing testimonials and frankly, they just left us with a sense of what I like to call "the warm and fuzzies". They are a married couple who absolutely complement each other. Once we chose them, Sarah's highly organized approach kicked into gear. We had a small window of time and a ton to do! She created a timeline for us and set to work coordinating the vendors we needed (staging company, carpet cleaner, cleaning service and photographer.)
Side note - I should mention that I am a total Type-A personality. Control freak, over communicator, detail oriented kinda lady. :) I expressed to Kyle and Sarah from the get go that I really appreciate updates and being kept in the loop. WOW, can I just tell you what a relief this was. I never felt in the dark, I always knew what was going on, and frankly the BIGGEST factor here is that Sarah does it all PROACTIVELY! I mean can I get an AMEN. I didn't have to chase them down or harass them for updates and answers, they would send me consistent updates after showings or communication with realtors etc. This is my preferred method of communication but I'm positive if this would drive you nuts, Sarah and Kyle would adjust to accommodate whatever level of communication you are comfortable with.
Back to the house... So here I am, a very pregnant, terrified, first time mom... packing up my beautiful dream home that I had designed from the ground up. My heart was a little broken and I was scared senseless but this was my families next big adventure... so I put my big girl pants on and sucked it up! The house is on the market and the showings are coming in HOT! Mind you, we are literally in the last few weeks of peak real estate season and our neighborhood had some challenges (they were building a strip mall in the front and it didn't have any amenities), thanks previous realtor. :( Point being, we had some challenges we needed to overcome. This is where I think Kyle's strengths shine! He is my kindred spirit in negotiations and is extremely talented in pivoting a conversation or turning a negative into a positive with potential! I won't continue to bore you with literally every detail but long story shorter, we had one offer come in and unfortunately that buyer got cold feet. We had another offer come in but it had challenges (contingent offer).
The moral of this story, I would not be in Florida right now with my happy husband and healthy 5 month old son if it hadn't been for Kyle and Sarah Hughes. We had to get to Florida before I was 36 weeks pregnant and my husband had to drive our U-Haul and pups across the country alone. Hear me when I tell you this couple will go above and beyond for you! THEY WILL GO THE EXTRA MILE. I'm not sure if it's because they are just genuinely amazing human beings or if their level of customer service is just out of this world... but literally Kyle dragged stuff to the curb for a trash collector, they painted patches in our house that the buyers found... they even helped us get replacement screens for all the windows in our house (they got thrown away on accident) last minute. THE LIST GOES ON! I am near tears just writing this review when I think off everything this amazing couple did for us. They did it all with a smile, never once seeming frustrated or annoyed. It's taken me 5 months to write this review because I nee read more
