Best experience I have ever had at a dentist office. So clean and nice, the people were very attentive. 10/10 recommend!

I'm so happy to have found Dr. Masters and his welcoming staff. I became a regular in the past few…read moremonths and never sat in the waiting room for more than 5 minutes. I know I was a difficult case but there's no way Dr. Masters was going to give up on me. He is amazing and truly cares about his patients, I can't thank him enough. I also want to thank Teddy from the lab. I highly recommend Family Dental Care of Mt. Washington!

My first visit was an emergency and Dr. Masters had a sub dentist while he was out for the week and…read morethis dentist was AMAZING! Hard lesson learned to not choose your dentist and care based on a sub dentist bc while he was amazing, I can't say the same for Dr. Masters. To sum it up, his "bedside manner" was horrible. Fine on rare occasions but every time I had a problem or concerns he got defensive and would threaten to "fire me" as a patient over basic and general concerns anyone in my shoes would have. It got to the point that I was afraid and anxious for the appointments but unfortunately my benefits were used by his practice so I was at his mercy to fix it until I could either pay out of pocket (never bc I'm a single sole providing mother) or my benefits renewed and the claim would be covered elsewhere. I have plenty of proof of everything that happened. The final straw was asking me to pay $220 on the spot for a new upper denture I didn't feel I needed back in early 2026. And I still don't need them but I felt it was done and over with so I had to see it through. The first set came with extremely long "chicklet" teeth which he noticed bc when I smiled he said "don't pull your lip up like that when you smile." I wasn't. It was my normal smile. Turns out that it appeared that way bc the teeth were extremely long. Fast forward to the second pair and again laid there extremely silent, afraid to do or saying anything wrong or I would be talked down to like I am a child and told to go elsewhere for care. Long story short, he went to put them in and I almost came out of the chair bc they were "off" and it was pushed in wrong and not aligned with my bone structure. So I put it in and I couldn't believe what I saw. I had one front tooth as the center of my smile. Not two teeth splitting center. So I told his assistant and Missy confirmed this has been happening a lot with other patients and items from their lab. I told her that again that I have no issues with my current set but I was just doing this bc I was told I needed them and I had already paid for them. To avoid using time slots on his booked schedule to continue this back and forth and my extreme anxiety coming there at this point, I told the assistant Missy I was truly fine with mine now and I didn't want to use up their time and resources for no new payments from me or insurance. His response was essentially "ok" and listing all the services I may need down the road and the cost. But nothing about the $220 I paid and zero product received by no fault of my own. So I asked for a refund and when I was first told no I said that's fine, I would like to continue on with the appts to get these fixed and right so I can have them. What I paid over $200 for which is A LOT of money to me. He didn't like that. He called. Didn't let me speak. Was aggressive in his tone and even when I politely said "if you don't want to stop with these and refund me, it's no problem, I would like to make an appt for these them to be done." And I sincerely meant that kindly. I was genuinely not trying to waste anyone's time and I am truly good with my current set. So of course, him being very rude as he always was when I wasn't 100% happy or anything I spoke up about that was negative, he agreed to refund me and TERMINATED ME as a patient. Which is fine. I had planned to not go back but only to complete what was done through them and paid for by insurance already. So please, if you are thinking about a huge decision of removing most or all of your teeth, do your research first. Don't pick a practice over the care of a sub dentist like I did. Look for the reviews. Ask around your town. And know when you see red flags to run away before it's too late.

So many people hate the Dentist -- not me. I've been coming to Bullitt Dental since I was a kid!…read moreYes -- they are a little drive from the East End, but absolutely worth it! Lots of reasons -- they are friendly! I'm always greeted BY NAME and with a smile. Even when I call the office, they know who I am. They remember little things about me - like that I'm a Cards Fan, or that I was about to go on vacation when I visited last. They ask about my job or my partner -- you feel like family when you're there! The appointments feel very organic. They truly care about the client sitting in the chair. The cleanings are great. We chat the whole time, but they do have TV's in each area for the recluse or child. They communicate what's going on during any cleaning or procedures and even let you choose your toothpaste flavor. When you're all finished, they'll send you out the door with a great little goodie bag. When your appointment is coming up you'll get lots of reminders -- emails, phone call, texts, even a postcard. (If you bring the postcard to your visit, you'll be entered into a drawing -- for a tooth whitening package I believe.). I always seem to forget mine :( I've referred friends with no dental insurance in the past -- they've worked with them and really helped to make cleanings affordable. If you need a Dentist, or hate your current one -- check out Bullitt Dental. They are absolutely worth the drive to Bullitt County!

I've been going here for ten years and have no reason to switch. The dentist is great (Dr. Bell). Even better is the rest of the staff. Not that anyone is better than the dentist, it's just that, in regard to routine and preventative cleanings that take up most of the time, it is other staff members who I interact with more. The staff is so friendly, from check-in to check-out. I enjoy continuing conversations from one visit to the next. The atmosphere is so relaxed and down-to-earth that I forget I'm in the dental office and start to feel as if we are all around a table with pizza and some drinks (no sugary candy, though).
