had a scheduled appointment for a couple weeks and the night before my appointment they called and cancelled saying she booked someone else.

I am very OCD when it comes to my hair. I have had bad experiences which I'm sure we all have. I do a lot of research now when I am looking for a stylist. I look for reviews on Yelp, check to see if they have any social media pages and follow. I was really impressed with Hudson Salon. I followed Alyssa at the Mooresville location and loved her work. I was in the middle of changing salons due to locations. I went for the first time today to see Alyssa. She was outstanding. She really listened to my needs and was so personable. I love my hair. Whole new look. The staff was so nice and appreciate everyone there. Hudson now has a new client. read more

Mismanaged! Stylist lied about being a regular staff member at the Huntersville, NC location, next stylist lied about prices, multiple appointment changes made by staff, charged my credit card on file without informing me, manager of Huntersville, NC location never called me back, even corporate email never responded to me when I emailed them. Management here doesn't care to rectify unhappy customer experiences. I will never do business with this salon organization again. read more

When I booked it was through word of mouth, did my research, and thought they seemed like a fairly decent salon. When you book you are suppose to check what service you are seeking, as I did. I booked for a full balayage. I went in and was told upfront that the hair color I wanted cannot be achieved in one sitting, which was fine, I get it. I showed the stylist, Jennifer the style of balayage I wanted which she was able to do. I told her it's been awhile since I've done my hair so I am putting my trust in her. Boy was that wrong! Because I haven't done my hair in years I was happy with the color as she set the expectations for the color. The next day I straightened my hair and realized it looked like babylights. I reached out and told her I didn't want babylights I wanted a full balayage. After a few emails she finally admitted she gave me babylights and if I wanted it fixed then it'll cost more which was crazy. I then asked for a partial refund so at least I can get it corrected so she proceeds to tell me to just call the front desk! It's unfortunate that the lack of competent competition really lowers expectations for quality in many sectors and this seems to be even more prominent after the pandemic. The result is everyone gets 4 or 5 stars just for showing up! Over 500 reviews on Google but just a few on Yelp? odd read more

I've literally never left happy...between color not being what the stylist set my expectations to, to hating the haircut after I explained I did NOT want it short and having almost 8 inches chopped off regardless with very little empathy, to not honoring the 50% off coupon they sent me...all in all a terrible salon I will NOT be going back. read more

From the moment I booked an appointment I had very bad service at this salon. I was a new client and looking for highlight/low lights and a cut. The receptionist booked me an appointment I was supposed that something was available so soon but happy they could get me in. I was not told anything about there being different levels of stylists at the salon. Apparently I was booked with a. Level 3 stylist because boy was I shocked at the cost when I went to check out. $300 for balayage and haircut. There was no talk of cost at all or how the prices would be dramatically different because I was booked with a level 3 stylist without my knowledge. I would NEVER have booked the appointment if I knew it would cost that much...very very misleading. Who pays $300 for a haircut?!? When I called to complain al that was offered was a discount on my next service. But I declined since I will definitely not be returning. Go somewhere else! So I have been going to this salon ( Huntersville location first) for about a year. I will tell you my first impression wasn't that great. The stylist canceled my very first appointment. I wasn't going to give it a chance until Nicole called me and said she could fit me in. After that I was sold. She was so welcoming and my hair looked great when she was done. I have been going ever since. I love Hudson salon and how in tint it is and how friendly the staff is. It can be really difficult to find a good place to go but trust me, the salon in Mooresville is legit. Nicole is the manager and is so nice. I just got a simple hair cut with Tessa and I love it! Booking online was easy. I was seen right on time for my appointment. Tessa was so sweet and did a great job listening to what I wanted for my cut. You also get a little head massage when they shampoo you, which I loved! I will definitely book here again! read more

I've got crazy curly hair on a good day, so finding a stylist who gets it has always been a challenge. Not anymore, Nichole was great! Did a wonderful job cutting just the right amount of layers to calm the crazy. The salon has a comfortable confidant vibe to it which is so important when placing your hair in someone else's hands. read more

We made an appointment ahead of time, including giving a credit card number to secure our spot, only to have them cancel because of a "scheduling error" an hour before our appt. My guess is that the stylist didn't want to take us because we were the last appt (815pm) on a Friday evening and she didn't want to bother with us since it was only a child's cut. If it was actually a scheduling conflict issue, they could have notified us much earlier than one hour before our appt. Mistake on their part, as we won't bother trying with this place again...and had we had a good experience with my daughter, we would have had multiple opportunities for them including several adult hair cuts, highlights, and Brazilian blow outs, none of which are cheap services. Funny that they require a credit card to hold their time, but feel okay wasting ours by canceling last minute. Hope it was worth the blow to your business to cancel on us with almost no notice for a lame, fake reason. We have already told a few friends in the area not to bother with this salon, but have recommended the amazing stylist at another Mooresville establishment who squeezed us in the next day and gave my high school daughter a great haircut and style! read more

I'm new to the area and we all know how hard it is to find a stylist you love. I had tried one in a different salon, and although she was good, I didn't love what she did. I booked an appointment with my neighbors stylist and was very excited for my appointment - however, she called to cancel my evening appointment only 30 minutes before my arrival time. I've never experienced this sort of unprofessional booking mistake in my life - I quickly took my business elsewhere. Being that we had an event for the upcoming weekend, I really wanted to get my hair done. I googled salons in the area, and Hudson came up with many favorable reviews. I called, explained my situation, and the receptionist got me in within minutes - SO GLAD SHE DID! Jen was able to give me an awesome cut, color and highlights that I absolutely love! The salon was tidy and clean, everyone was very friendly, and Jen was as sweet as could be. I did pay on the higher price for my service, but it was seriously worth every single cent! I would recommend Jen (there are three Jennifers and I'm sure they're all wonderful, but it was Jen who did my hair) at Hudson Salon to anyone. read more
