I go yearly for a cleaning, two years…read moreago I told the dentist there was a spot on my back molar that I felt needed attention, she blew it off. The next year I go in and say it's getting bad, can we go ahead and fill it? she says no, we'll just have to do a root canal when you come back in. I've done lots of research on root canal's and I'd never have that done. So it gets abscess and I was in terrible pain, I healed the abscess with oil of oregano. Then my tooth totally splits in half, so I had to go to a surgeon yesterday to have it pulled out and bone graph done. What's the point in doing annual maintenance visits if the dentist is going to ignore the issues until it becomes a problem?! It's because they make thousands off of root canals and hundreds from filling a cavity, they're all in it for the money and could care less about the health of you and your teeth!

I first had a tooth pulled and she chipped one tooth next to it. Also, I had pain in a tooth and continued to go back for treatment. They said my upper teeth needed to be filed down. I went back 3 times and then made a decision to get another opinion. I went to Dr Hayes in Cookeville and immediately they found I had major decay under that tooth so it had to be removed. They also didn't catch the major decay on the other side of my mouth. It was very expensive work to have done but thankful that I was able to find Dr. Hayes. It is very scary when you think they are doing a good job and then you find out that they made a major mistake.

Dr Clabough told both of us that that we needed crowns. Me two and her one. We told them we were not interested. While waiting for my wife's cleaning two other patents came out, both needing crowns. The total for that day was seven. Seems strange that everyone needed crowns. A week later I received a letter from my insurance company with a quote for crowns. We called them and was told that the dentist requested it. We were also told that this dentist was not in their network. The dentist office did not inform us of that, nor die we give permission for them to contact our insurance company for a quote on crown work. The only reason I am giving a two star review is because of the hygienist Buyer be ware of this dentist practice. My wife and I will not be going back, we do not trust this man!

I then pulled up my card which had an error on the card but when given the correct info they still could not navigate their insurance portal. Then told me they would have to reschedule when they had the correct info. My issue is no one contacted me prior to my visit to get this info. They waited till I got in the chair then said I would either have to pay the full price or reschedule. I find this to be very unprofessional. I also am not the only person they have done this to, so I highly caution against using them.

The dentures I purchased from Affordable Dentures is a extremely better quality and fit the first time. No need for adjustments or lining. The dentures I received from Aspen is very bulky, teeth undersized and very very grey compared to my old dentures. Guess what I'm using right now, yep my old dentures. I cannot in good conscience recommend Aspen for any thing but the few very good people there. Sorry, but I'm being very honest here. Weed out the attitudes and uncomfortable atmosphere and offer better quality and you can have a real winner here. Overall I'm going to have to find a way to get myself some much needed and deserved new teeth elsewhere somehow. Don't get me wrong. There are some very nice people here. There some that exudes not so nice even when trying to hide it.

Luckily I see through this BS and like the dentist said during my first visit since moving here, if everyone had my teeth, dentists would be bankrupt. Review your treatment plan closely. I was told all I needed was a cleaning but when I got home they included a $16 fee for Fluoride which I do not need. Be prepared to wait hours during at least your first visit. It takes forever for them to jump through their required hoopla-dog and pony show. The hygienist attempts to sell everyone a deep cleaning even me before the dentist checked my mouth. I believe they get bonuses to upsell-proceed with caution!
