He want to replace all my molars with crowns! 5k a pop. VA chief of dentistry said absolutely not. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Then he want to schedule me 4 times for cleaning! Who does this? Well we are so popular, we only have time for partial cleaning. Really? Such bullshit! Charge the VA for 4 cleaning appointments instead of one. Their response ?? Your teeth are sooo bad, it took us that long. How many times have you gone in 4 times for one cleaning. They will respond that I was never a patient there. They either can't keep records or playing loosely goose with the facts. Again, move on when someone puts money over best practices.

This dentist advertises himself as "cheaper" than other dentists -- the website says they'll do an introductory exam for $50, so imagine my surprise when I was billed $179 and then had to pay another $150 on top of that for a cleaning I had understood was to be part of the new patient visit!! They have just charged me almost 3 times what other dentists in Crossville charge for the same service! (I called around and checked). I am retired and on a very tight budget -- I was shocked to find I had just spend $330 instead of the $180 I had been told about and expected. There goes a week's worth of food! Do NOT go here unless you have money to waste. There are other dentists in Crossville that will do just as fine a job for half the money. I for one will not be back.

He did a root canal on a back tooth for me and drilled past the apex of the tooth, into my jaw causing me 4 weeks of missed work and a hospital visit due to him leaving debris down in my jaw causing me to lose 20 lbs. in 5 days due to severe pain, severe dehydration, and an infection that almost killed me! After I told him what I went through he said we could fit you in his busy schedule for a post op checkup in two days! That was a long time after what I had been through! So, I went for my appt. showing up 30 minutes early, thinking I could get seen faster, only to get the hint of what seemed like I was just a nuisance. When I see him, he takes x-rays and says everything looked great and I was feeling phantom pains. Pretty strong phantom pains, I say, and I do not agree and feel like there is still something wrong! I tell him I feel this tooth when I touch it and I feel my heartbeat in it and I do not want a crown on top of a problem! He then sees another tooth needing fixed and he says we can help for another $6700.00 on top of the $3000.00 for a root canal and crown and the hospital visit and the time off work! So, I tell him I cannot afford to use him, and I did not trust him anymore and to please reimburse me for the second half which was still two weeks away! They got very upset and started yelling at me, causing me emotional distress on top of everything else, because times are hard and money is not easy for people working for a living right now! They then told me, "The crown has already been ordered and I would be paying for it!" With a Very snotty tone! So,I then went to another dentist who confirmed what I was experiencing was due to either dirty tools or not cleaning out all the debris and i had to get that tooth removed! I hope this helps someone else from experiencing this same set back from his mistakes!

The next year I go in and say it's getting bad, can we go ahead and fill it? she says no, we'll just have to do a root canal when you come back in. I've done lots of research on root canal's and I'd never have that done. So it gets abscess and I was in terrible pain, I healed the abscess with oil of oregano. Then my tooth totally splits in half, so I had to go to a surgeon yesterday to have it pulled out and bone graph done. What's the point in doing annual maintenance visits if the dentist is going to ignore the issues until it becomes a problem?! It's because they make thousands off of root canals and hundreds from filling a cavity, they're all in it for the money and could care less about the health of you and your teeth!
