I went to this clinic after my eye suddenly became severely swollen while I was up north. Choosing…read morethis clinic turned out to be a big mistake. At my first visit, the doctor prescribed over-the-counter antihistamine eye drops. They did nothing to help. The next day, I spoke with a second doctor from the same clinic. Without even seeing me, he told me he would not recommend those drops and said he would have used a steroid instead. By day three, there was still no improvement. I was then seen again by the second doctor, who was visibly surprised by the condition of my eye and decided I needed antibiotics at that point. After all of this, I contacted management to express concern about the inconsistent care and delays. Rather than addressing what happened, I was told the doctors did nothing wrong and that this is "the best clinic in Minnesota" and that they are "customer-centered." Nothing about my experience reflects that. Conflicting medical advice, delayed effective treatment, and a dismissive response from management are not acceptable when someone is dealing with a serious eye issue. I would strongly recommend avoiding this clinic.

That being said, from the time I walked in through the door, the Richie eye team was courteous and professional. Dr. Spedding also took the time to answer all of my questions and put me at ease with his professional yet simplified explanations to help me understand what was really going on with my eyes. I will definitely be recommending them and just wanted to say thank you for your kindness and understanding.

Even in a google search it comes up as "the most experienced," which is a blatant lie and dishonest, frankly illegal method of attracting customers. On top of this, they won't honor the lifetime guarantee given to dr. Whiting's patients even though the language in the provided agreement clearly implies that they must. Anyone who is being denied an enhancement as a former patient of dr. whiting's, i urge you to contact the bbb and file a complaint. You paid for custom lifetime lasik, which includes free enhacements. Dr. Whiting and Ovo clinic will not honor it. Whiting clinic will not honor it (which is absolutely illegal). Whiting definitely knows what he's doing. I couldn't recommend him enough nor his amazing comforting staff as they walked me through something that I wanted to years ago but didn't due to being terrified something could of gone wrong. Sure if you don't use him be sure to do your research as I value my sight as well I'm sure whomever is reading this feels exactly the same. I'm a commercial roofer and wearing glasses and or contacts was a everyday struggle. It's dirty, hard, dangerous, fast paced job. Dealing with my contacts against the elements was quite a challenge. Wearing glasses restricted my peripheral range of view. I had 20/400 vision with an astigmatism in my right eye and now I'm 20/15 confirmed the day after when I went to my next day follow-up. I wasn't tested further to see if I could see any better and 20/15 vision is something to be proud to have non of the less (I think I see even better possibly). I've worn contacts that gave me 20/15 and I've never noticed to insane amounts of details I'm noticing currently now. I watched water coming out of the faucet for instance completely mindblown away for over a minute the other day. The bad - after my surgery I did have some pretty intense pain pretty similar to a bad tooth ache. I paced around my house for awhile to shrug it off (I recommend napping as I couldn't) . It subsided after six hours. I woke up the next morning and the pain was completely gone. I have a minor halo issue with street lamps and stop lights /cars are fine to me. I'll update this as needed but I swear this is probably the most amazing thing I've done for myself hands down. Everything is so crisp and detailed that I'm almost in denial (and that's going to vary from person to person. ) You owe it to yourself as I'm completely grateful I took the plunge. Honestly I have to take deep breaths as I've been trying to take in the amount of detail I'm now noticing since my procedure. Just crazy amount of details I've been missing out on. I'm supposed to see this dust from 20 ft away?

I am a retired V.A. Nurse and OTR, over the road Truck Driver & Owner/ Operator…read more My appt. was at 2pm, after the check in I was taken to a room to start the exam by a Tech. She was professional and curious. At about 3:30pm they dilated my eyes, it took about 20 minutes for the drops to take effect. Then Dr. Moffett came in telling me that the tests that were done showed I was 2100 in one eye & 2700 in the other. He said if the DMV were to test my eyes I'd be given a restrictive license. I came here for Cataract testing because driving at night was impossible anymore. He kept saying the Cataracts didn't look that bad, but did say he has done thousands of Cataract surgeries, some developing eye infections. If these surgeries are done with sterilized equipment using a sterile field and him wearing Sterile gloves the chances of an Infection are greatly reduced. I became suspicious of his ability to take care of me properly. At 4:20pm I was given a flimsy piece of black plastic to put between my glasses and face to cut down the glare, it did not fit well as it had "rounded" edges and my glasses are rectangular shaped, I asked for something better. Techs saying you can drive home using these. I went to the restroom to check my pupils they were completely dilated making my vision blurry! I stated I have over 30 miles to drive home! They did not care, just kept saying you'll be fine to drive home. I refused to leave without getting a better fitting Glare Blocker. So, finally another woman found a pair that would sit on my ears. I left to sit in my car so my vision could adjust to the outside brightness. Thinking maybe I should call the Police, because this is a crime in the making as no where in the paperwork that they sent me prior to the appointment did it say I should have someone drive me there. I said a prayer asking GOD to get me home safely and started my car. My car is new to me only having it a week, I knew and could see the whole numbers were about 1/2 inch high like 50, 60 mph but the 55 or 65 mph were only a short slanted line which I could not see at all. So, with GOD as my copilot I backed up my car and as I turned right out of their driveway I drew on the 15 yrs. of experience driving semi and followed the White line on the Right side of the road. I also choose to take Hwy. 29 home as it is a 4 lane road, I could legally do 45mph in the right lane. As soon as I was on Hwy. 29 I was able to do 50mph but I also knew that someone else might call in a 911 call on me because from Chippewa Falls to Cadot the speed limit is 70mph and I was only doing 50mph in the Right lane. I did get home safely! My vision returned to Normal at 10:30PM, 7 Hours after having those drops! If you are considering to see this clinic in the future ask them when YOU make the appointment if they are going to dilated your eyes, if so bring someone with you so they can drive you home!

I wish I would have done it sooner, especially after the amazing experience I had at LasikPlus! From start to finish, the staff were incredibly welcoming and very helpful. I asked the doctor, who initially checked my eyes, a lot of questions and concerns I had about getting the procedure done. She reassured me that what I was asking was a normal part of the process. As for the day of the procedure, I was really nervous but excited. The doctor who did the procedure and the rest of the staff were very nice. The surgery was quick and wasn't painful at all. Immediately after, it felt like I had opened my eyes under water and things were a little blurry. They gave me some sunglasses to wear after. When I got home, sleeping was the best recommendation because my eyes were burning, almost as if I had gotten shampoo or hot sauce in them. When I woke up, my vision was clear and I immediately started using the eye drops. Overall, I am so happy with my decision to get Lasik and I really appreciate how easy and simple the process was at LasikPlus.

I'm looking forward to speaking with the staff again and having them confirm my newly perfect eye sight.
