Honest fair guy. Owner operated. Doesn't play games, the price is the price and he does a good job.

The gentleman at the desk told me it would be ready around 5:30. HE FAILED TO TELL ME THEY WOULDN'T CALL ME WHEN IT WAS READY AND THEY CLOSE AT 6PM! I have to spend the night locked out of my home because they have my car AND my keys. Not only do I not have my car for the night, I have no idea if the work was done. We came back after exactly an hour and the car still hadn't been moved. We ended up having to wait another 35 minutes before we got the car back. They told me they would do an alignment check as well which was never done. I had a similar experience with this shop when I purchased the tires 6 months ago. I was happy with the price I got the tires for, but the service was slow. Last time, they took over 90 minutes longer than the promised time. I get it. Sometimes things get busy...but I have given them two chances now and both times I was disappointed. Don't plan on getting anything done quick here. If you are dropping off, then it may be fine. But if you are needing something done and don't have the ability to drop-off, plan for a good chunk of your day to be consumed and don't trust the given timelines. Hopefully they can improve the accuracy of their time estimates or better prioritize their customers to ensure better customer service.

Maitland Tire Company has exhibited every trait you could ever want in a horrible car repair shop:…read moreprice gouging, telling blatant lies, curtness, misogynistic behavior, incompetence... A 12 volt battery should not cost $473.74. Installing it does not take an hour and a half, as Corey insisted it did (labor was $144). When I questioned the price, I was told by Corey that I could "do it yourself if you don't like it."  This shop also installed after-market tire pressure monitoring sensors to the tune of $599.80. They did not work. This involved a return to the shop where I waited for some time while several employees took the car for a drive and seemed not to understand the issue. They said they would order "genuine" parts and told me to return the following week. I called and was told, "I'm looking at the parts." I drove 45 minutes to bring the car back. And guess what? The parts were never ordered. Ethan quickly ordered them, and later, I was told they wouldn't work. I wasn't paying close attention, but how could they pronounce the effort a failure after 15 minutes and no test drive? Ethan promised I'd get a full refund, but he didn't know how to credit it back to my card. The boss was out of town and I'd have to wait for a refund. He took my mailing address. I finally received the check. Ethan offered 2 free oil changes, but I will never use them because I will never return to this shop. Ever.

If you value your vehicle, do not take it to this business…read more I bought a deal they had on Groupon for an oil change. I had to call four separate times just to schedule a basic oil change. Each time, I was given a different excuse as to why they could not perform the service. Eventually, I was told to call back on Thursday to schedule for Friday -- which I did exactly as instructed. When I called back, they again asked for my vehicle's make and year. At that point, I was told the promotional deal only applied to vehicles 2015 and newer. This restriction was never mentioned during any of my previous calls, nor is it stated anywhere in the advertised description. To introduce new conditions at the last minute is dishonest and completely unacceptable -- especially for something as routine as an oil change. Despite the red flags, I proceeded with the service. When I returned home, I checked the oil level because by that point I had zero confidence in the quality of their work. The oil level was nearly a full inch above the maximum fill line. Overfilling engine oil is not a minor mistake -- it can cause serious damage to an engine. This level of negligence is alarming. The owner was busy talking on his phone throughout the service, and it is clear he either failed to properly check the oil level afterward or could not be bothered to correct it. Either explanation is unacceptable. Had I not double-checked their work, my engine could have suffered significant damage. That is not just poor service -- it is reckless. I strongly urge others to think carefully before trusting this business with their vehicle.

I've used Royal One 4 times now and should have written a review before now (sorry Rick!) but just didn't think about it. This last time I was at Sami's picking up my car after a minor repair when he mentioned my tire was not holding air and I should run by Royal One on the way home. I did... and it was good I did, as the tire was cut slightly on the side (old tire) and wan't holding air for more than a few minutes... I would not have made it home. It was only a few minutes before closing (they were actually closing the door when I pulled in) but Rick and the guys jumped in and, when they figured out the tire was not fixable, they just LOANED me a used tire until mine came in. They had me back on the road in just 15 minutes and I went back a few days later to get my new tires put on. They gave me a slight discount plus didn't charge me for the trouble they went to to loan me the used tire. They always offer GREAT SERVICE and are a FAMILY OWNED business... so if you like to "buy local" and keep your money in the community (instead of having the profits shipped out to the headquarters of some national chain), then you really should use Royal One.

The van had ongoing suspension issues, vibration, and brake noises that made driving stressful--and sometimes frightening. We went from shop to shop, but the results were always the same: slightly better for a while, but never fixed. Anytime we returned with concerns, we were treated like a burden. We kept hearing, "that's just the way these vans are," while our tires wore out quickly and the noise got louder. It left us frustrated, worried, and unsure what to do. We searched again and found Marty's Automotive Longwood. We were skeptical, but from the moment we walked in, we could tell it was different. They listened. They asked smart, relevant questions. They took our concerns seriously. And they showed real confidence that their team could solve the problem. They communicated with us immediately and kept us informed throughout the repair process--something we are absolutely not used to. They set expectations honestly and delivered exactly what they promised. We dropped off a van that felt unsafe...and within a few days, we picked up a vehicle that drives better than it has in years. The improvement was dramatic. There was no pressure to do extra repairs, no upselling, no talking down to us. Just respect, honesty, transparency, and excellent workmanship. Marty's Automotive Longwood has earned our complete trust. We'll be regular customers from now on and confidently recommend them for any of your repair needs.
