    For the price paid, the customer service was very poor. I placed an order for the "teleflora's pretty posy bouquet" which was supposed to be an arrangement with only pink and lavender flowers, to be delivered in a "stunning mosaic iridescent vase" the day before Mother's Day, for my sister who just became a new mom and this was her first year celebrating. So what my sister got was a similar bouquet, but not a single flower was lavender. Instead, lavender was replaced with deep burgundy daisies and peach carnations (more like a bouquet you'd choose in the Fall time) and in a blue-ish transparent square vase that you can get from HomeGoods and definitely not what I had ordered and had no clue about any changes. I called Monday morning shortly after they opened, to ask the manager why I didn't get a phone call about how different both the bouquet and vase would be and Amanda, who identified herself as the manager, said she would look into it and call me back. Well she didn't- I had to call back again hours later. She said on their website it says that they are subject to make substitutions and that it says they don't need to contact the customer to let them know? Nowhere on their site mentions how the customer doesn't need to be notified to confirm the change so I certainly believe she wasn't being truthful about that. I paid well over $100 and she said the reason my price was high was because of the stuffed animal I purchased on top of the flowers, as if paying $80 plus tax for just the bouquet, plus a delivery fee of $12 wasn't going to be $100 in itself, so as a manager of this business, Amanda was extremely rude, insulting and unprofessional. Don't waste your hard earned money on hubbard florist! Shame on them for not even trying to offer a solution or any money back.

    I just wanted to say that this Florist Shop is amazing. I few months ago, I wanted to send my sister some " just because you are amazing" flowers . I contacted Hubbard florist. I currently reside in Wisconsin. My other half of my family is in Connecticut. It was very last minute given there a different with the time because of the time zone . They listened and delivered on the special message that I wanted to type. The best part of it all was that my sister got her flowers right before the end of her shift . She works at a hospital. We all know how busy the hospitals are . She loved her flowers. Hubbard Florist, thank you for making this happen for me with such short notice . Here are the flowers I ordered for her .

    Do yourself and the recipient of your flowers a favor and order all of your arrangements elsewhere!! I ordered the $250 bouquet of 2 dozen long stemmed roses as shown on their website. The picture of what I ordered is below. The second picture is what they actually delivered. I was shocked and frankly embarrassed. If this place had any pride in their work that arrangement never would have left their shop. To compound the issue, they were flippant regarding the matter and showed zero interest in making it right. Their lack of pride in the quality of their work extends to their customer service and the experience they provide. When I got the picture of what they delivered I called the shop immediately and (very kindly and respectfully) expressed my unhappiness. They asked me to send them a picture, which I did. I sent them a picture of what I ordered and what they provided. I said this looks NOTHING like what I ordered! I explained that I honestly wouldn't have paid $20 for this at a gas station much less $250 from a florist. When the lady on the phone seen the picture, she apologized repeatedly and agreed that it shouldn't have happened. Unfortunately she couldn't do anything about it until speaking with the owner. 3 days later I get a call from the same lady and again they weren't at all interested in taking ownership of the problem. The owner was adamant that he would only offer a 40% refund, or a full refund but only if I allow them to go to the woman's house that I sent flowers to and give them back. Can you imagine!?! They also offered to send another bouquet and I obviously declined. You get ONE opportunity to send a woman flowers for the first time. I'm not about to inconvenience the woman or involve her in any of this. The only right thing for Hubbard's to do in this situation is express actual remorse, take ownership and refund me. Nope, they didn't do any of those things. I respectfully expressed my displeasure but they didn't care. The owner refused to even call me back. Trust me, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Hubbard's is trash.

    This is what we had requested, but with different colors..

    We went in to order flowers for our mother's celebration of life service. The customer service was ok but we pretty much were left to ourselves to figure out and decide what we wanted. We requested to have yellow roses, white lilies, and some tall sky blue flowers in the back part of the arrangement. They offered to let us pick up the arrangement at 8:30am due to the service time/travel etc. This was not a cheap arrangement to purchase by any means. When my brother picked up the arrangement, it was by far not what we purchased or had hoped to receive. They wound up going to Price Chopper and had to purchase an additional $30+ in additional roses and lilies to add to the arrangement to make it look presentable/close to what we had wanted to have there at our mother's funeral. Thankfully we had someone who was able to add in the flowers and redo what we were given. I hope going forward they will look at the arrangements they put out as ones they would want at an event for their family, and take pride in that, not what we were given. I am attaching a picture of what we ordered/were expecting(pink flowers) and then the one of what we received. it is in the back of my brother's truck before they added the additional flowers and all.

This time, for Mother's Day, when the flowers were a wilted mess within 24 hours I decided to write to the shop and send photos to give them an opportunity to make it right with a refund or replacement, particularly since my husband spent over $180 to have this arrangement delivered. (By the way, the arrangement is appallingly overpriced at $144 and my husband prepaid a hefty delivery fee and an additional very large tip of $20). Although she has promised to send another arrangement today to replace it, she had the audacity to say next time I should follow the instructions and give it water because she claimed there was no water in that vase when in fact it was 3/4 full of water still. The photos provided in my email were close-ups of the wilted flowers and didn't show the vase. I couldn't believe how insulting her response was, trying to deflect blame on the customer. I sent her a response with an additional photo of the full vase of water.... did she think a bouquet of flowers was going to drink nearly half-gallon of water in 12 hours since delivery????? We regularly give businesses second chances, often more, but when a business blames the customer without evidence/justification that's a deal breaker for me. I told my husband just now that he should never use that florist again. I'd rather have no flowers than get poor quality, overpriced flowers from a place that would insult customers like this. Follow up -- in a subsequent email response to me when I had told her that I didn't appreciate her insulting comment, she accused me of refilling the vase after the fact and claimed that my original photo proves it, and refers to me as "triggered". I've added a photo of this communication. And, the first two photos I had attached to this review are what I had sent her (not the one focused on the vase which I sent her after she insulted me). I'm adding to this review a duplicate of the one photo I had sent her and I've added a notation pointing to the water line in that photo - the photo she's claiming shows there's no water. Can you imagine an arrangement drinking over half a gallon of water within like 18 hours LOL. Her behavior in this situation is appalling. 5/13 @ 12:37pm ET: Adding my response to the florist's comment below: She has been repeatedly rude. After making crazy accusations and calling me triggered in email, I told her to not bother sending a new arrangement and instead to send my husband a refund. She was given the opportunity to make it right with my outreach and she chose to be incredibly rude and insulting and direct blame at me rather than just graciously taking accountability like a professional would. After her repeated insults I decided I prefer to not have her come to my house at this point. I've never had to write a bad florist review in all the years my wonderful husband has had flowers sent to me at least 3x/year...till this terrible encounter with this rude woman.

I received an a call from an obviously irritated delivery person saying that I was not home for the delivery so I should come and pick up the flowers, which I was happy to do. She then gave me directions which were totally unfamiliar to me and it evolved that their business was in a city of the same name, but not in the state where I live. She said that it must have been a wire mix-up, and that she would refer the matter to her boss to resolve. Her boss "took care of" it by saying (on my voice mail) in her own irritated phone voice that I should call my friend and tell her to take care of it. Magnificent. This combination of incompetence and nastiness is, fortunately, difficult to match. If they receive any compensation for this, I will never so much as smell another flower. Not Basket Place, but Basket Case.

I struck gold when I found Basket Place, and especially when I called and began speaking with Eleanor. She was extremely knowledgeable, very compassionate, and an incredibly nice and kind person. Even though they had just closed due to an incoming blizzard, she patiently talked me through the options for the bouquet I wanted to send, and could not have been more helpful. By the time I hung up I knew that the flowers would be perfect. Eleanor assured me that she would personally take care of the arrangement and it was absolutely perfect!

I stopped in and asked if by chance, "could get a nice fresh arrangement made.". Donna, the owner, said "no problem." I told her how much money I wanted to spend and she said, "no problem " I got lost for about 3 hrs. Came back and Donna made not one , but two beautiful arrangements. She said, "pick the one you like best" How nice is that? This is a small location. Donna & I had a very nice conversation. She's very sweet. She's "old school " and that's a very good thing. She has many years of experience. You don't get service like this too often anymore. When in the Bristol, CT area, I will definitely do business with Donnas Florist

Apparently they canceled my order because "they didn't have the product", and claimed they notified me via email (she asked if checked my junk mail). I asked why no phone call asking me if I wanted to substitute or change my order and she said well we are busy - it was the week before xmas ya know! I guess an $80 order isn't important enough to them. I have never experienced such rudeness and lack of customer service. I will NEVER use them again, I'm very disappointed and here I was expecting to brighten the day of someone who is going thru a difficult time.
