What's a modern working girl to do when she needs a place to rest her weary laptop in the CBD? Well she signs up for a membership at Hub Melbourne, that's what she does.
This is collaborative consumption in full swing, a huge space on the third floor of the heritage listed Donkey Wheel House that is shared by an eclectic group of professionals. Some work here every day of the week, some just a day or two. Others (like me) are just here for random mornings or afternoons as they feel the need. We pay a membership fee that buys a certain number of hours and get access to things like PO Box addresses, filing cabinets, a kitchenette (with biscuit jar!) and meeting rooms.
