We were able to decorate and rehearse on a Friday. Have my wedding on Saturday and pick up everything and leave by Sunday. We rented out all 3 homes that are offered. The houses were beautiful and extremely homey. Had everything we needed. My family , bridal party and I were all able to get ready the day of the wedding. The photos are beautiful right by the pond. You can tell Concorde center takes great care of the land. I will say this venue would be best for weddings under 100-110 people max. It's the not biggest. We had 95 people and it was perfect with enough space for a dance floor and photobooth. A few downsides that could be worked on is you have to choose their preferred caterers. They give you only 3 options. First option never got back to me. I called and emailed them multiple times and never heard a word back. I would advise Concorde to take them completely off their list. Second place was pricey and out of our budget. The woman who owns it was very busy and seemed uninterested in our event. The last place I had no choice but to go with was 31 North. Which we were dissatisfied with their food. I also wish they would allow you to go into the homes a little earlier than 10 am. Considering it can take hours for a bridal party to get ready the day of. Other than that everything went very smoothly and I'm glad I choose this venue close to home.

They have a great outdoor patio with a working outdoor fireplace and our guests enjoyed walks on the paths overlooking the pond. I have to say the vendor list could be better- we ended up using The Caterist which was outside the vendor list without a fee. Overall a great location for a memorable wedding and flexible staff.

At the time, at the end of the restaurant, there weren't any other people seated. Our server finally came to the table and literally just stared at us. Never asked us if we wanted anything to drink. Never asked us if we were ready to order. We just blurted out our orders and he left the table. Our food was delivered and it was tasty, however, there were was no salt or pepper or condiments on the table, our drinks were never refilled. No one returned to our table. We tried to catch the eye of the hostess as she seated other parties. Some tables got up and moved to the bar when no one came to serve them. We eventually got tired of waiting for our server to return at got up and started to head to the host station to get our bill and complain. Our server finally came suddenly appeared and was very confused. He handed us a non-itemized bill and asked for a signature. Our copy of the bill was unreadable. We complained to someone who looked like a manager and she just said, "sorry." This is a recurring theme in these Yelp reviews: terrible service. Come on!! Fix this!

We were looking for somewhere to eat and after going to all the recommended places, "that were…read moreclosed" we passed this restaurant several times and said "what da hell". We entered and we're met by a happy face whom was also polite and friendly. We sat next to the fire, it was Veterans Day and off season so it was quiet. The restaurant was a typical Wisconsin restaurant. Cozy, warm, with some regulars at the bar. We started with traditional Mai Tai for me and fruity Mai Tai for my date. We eventually doubled up on those. We started with an appetizer good old-fashioned Wisconsin cheese curds, lightly battered fresh cheese very delicious. I would recommend a sprinkle of bacon bits on top of it but that's just me. My date ordered the shrimp tacos and when they came out I was surprised by the size of the shrimp, as was my date. I on the other hand had the lightly breaded chicken with a lemon cream sauce on top of garlic mashed potatoes. Both of our entrees were delicious. Our waitress was a lil doll, she was also out hostess, so she kept the smile going, and she asked if I was a veteran and gave us a discount on our bill. I imagine during peak season that this place is busy, plenty of inside room and a outside upper deck that overlooked the lake with a beautiful sunset. Can't wait to come back in the summer, if I can get a table. I definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner. It is not a fine dining restaurant but I'm not too big on those anyway.

Passing thru town we realized this is where the movie Groundhog Day was filmed and this is the Inn…read morewhere 'Phil Conners was staying'. We drove up and the propriatress was chatting with neighbors. She greeted us and when we asked if it was OK to take photos of the outside. . . she have us a tour of the inside! Wow, that was unexpected! Super warm and friendly owner, the Inn has many of it's original features including wood floors, lighting fixtures, coal burning fireplaces, stained glass, and more. It also boasts a beautiful new kitchen and glorious gardens including milk weed for the Monarch Butterflies which have been rapidly decreasing in numbers in recent years. So yay! She has a small shop of movie themed items and a museum cabinate of movie props. We were told about the filming pricess at the inn and told about plans for the gardens. A lovely Bed and Breakfast, if you find yourself in Woodstock, IL, check on availability. Stay where Phil Conners 'stayed'.

We spent 3 peaceful, relaxing and fun nights at The Cherry Tree Inn in Woodstock, Illinois…read more First off Mr. Bee is a huge Groundhog Day movie fan, so we decided while in Illinois to stay in this gem of a town. Lori and George, the Innkeepers are very nice. The Inn is so fun. This is where Bill Murray's character in the movie stayed and the front looks exactly as it did in the movie. Lori gave us a map of the spots in town with marker's of sites from the movie, so we did that for a half day. The inn has a dining room where breakfast is served, there is the parlor with chairs for reading, or a sofa for watch Groundhog Day on the big screen. There is a small breakfast room with a refrigerator, coffee maker and snacks for the guests. There is one guest room downstairs and the others are located on the second floor. They even have a small gift shop area, where Mr. Bee bought a replica clock from the movie, it is permanently set to 6:00 am and the button on the top plays a portion of the radio show it played in the movie. We stayed in the Black Walnut Suite and it was extremely clean, and comfortable with 3 large windows that looked out over the front yard and the street just like in the film. Breakfast was good and plentiful. One morning we were the only guests so I told Lori the night before to take a day off and we would enjoy breakfast in the town square. I can't say enough great things about our stay. The front porch is awesome and fun to sit in the evenings with a glass of wine. The gardens and koi pond around the house are also stunning and beautifully lit in the evenings. There is parking off to the side of the driveway which is really convenient, or street parking. You can also easily walk into the town square from the Inn. We highly recommend checking out The Cherry Tree Inn for a fun weekend or even mid-week stay.

I had an outstanding experience at The Abbey thanks to Illeyana--also known (and now forever…read moreremembered) as Ms. Goldfish. From the moment we walked in, her energy, attentiveness, and genuine friendliness set the tone for the entire visit. She was on top of everything--quick service, great recommendations, and always checking in without being overbearing. It's rare to find someone who makes you feel both taken care of and completely relaxed at the same time, but Illeyana nailed it. The nickname "Ms. Goldfish" fits perfectly--she kept things fun, memorable, and just a little bit legendary. If you're heading to The Abbey, do yourself a favor and ask for her. Customer service like that is hard to come by. We'll definitely be back!

This resort has taken a significant downturn within the last 10 years. It truly is work to stay…read morehere. The best part of the trip was the time we spent outside of the hotel. From the moment we got here we were inconvenienced. 1. We checked into our room and there was no hand soap, tissues, or conditioner. 2. There are only a few entrances to the resort instead of having an entrance to each building to make it easy to bring stuff to and from your car. 3. The gift shop is crazy expensive, bottled water is almost $4 a piece and a case of beer is $80. 4. The TVs in the room are completely locked down and you're unable to screencast Netflix. Your choices are 30 basic channels of infomercials and $25 movie selections that are mostly from the 90s. 5. The room service for food ends at 10pm and the vending machines were bare, there is no where to go for a late night snack. 6. If you go to the restaurant to order food to go, they won't do it. They'll refer you to calm room service for your room forcing you to leave a tip. 7. If you want a cart to bring your luggage to your car, a bellhop has to supervise you and watch you do it the whole way. 8. On our last day the boiler was down and there was no hot water to take a shower before you check out. 9. We asked for a plate at the front desk to warm up food in the microwave (only one shared microwave is available for each building), and they couldn't find any. In short, this place is like a glorified motel 8 that doesn't truly respect their customers. Their operations are only convenient for them and nothing about the stay was easy. We almost felt like we were in a prison. I did enjoy the stay 10 years ago but we were very disappointed by how it is currently ran.
