So the disclaimer is that I can't truly attest to how one would fare here if one has difficult venous access). I like that Dynacare has a website where I can check what the wait time is. So if I'm going for routine stuff that can wait, I go when it's not busy. I also like that I can "check in" online and get put in the queue before I arrive (I've always arrived before my assigned time, so I'm not sure what they do if you arrive late). I just check the wait time and time the departure from my home accordingly, arriving 10-15 minutes before my assigned time. They also have a screen with the names of the people in the queue (first name, last initials) and approximately how much longer until each person will be called, so you know where you are in line and your estimated wait time. I've never had another Jennifer P there while I was there, so not sure what they do about duplicate names and initials. There's also a program you can join for $19.99/year where you can access your results online and have other perks (and due to the Pandemic and them recognizing that everyone is having a rough time, they have halved the price temporarily, so it's only $9.99/year right now). I haven't joined though. The lab is in a general medical building with a pharmacy on the main level. The lab is in the basement and there is free WiFi, which is a good thing because reception is really spotty down there and so I wouldn't even be able to use my own data plan reliably anyway. There's a paid parking lot behind the building, the rates are $2.75 per 30 minutes. Street parking is available but tricky because it's near several schools and there are a lot of parking restrictions on nearby streets. If you're willing to walk a bit, more distant streets have free parking under regular by-laws (3 hour maximum).
