I went with 7 friends, you enter at Gate 8 off of Clinton Drive, just tell the security guard you are there for the tour. There is a nice plaza to wait at right next to the boats. The parking lot is safe; let's face it, the only folks getting in have to pass security! Oh and by the way, you must make a reservation through their online link. They can take up to 100 people but limit each reservation to 10 so if you have more make more reservations. The boat is hardly ever full. A bit before 10 am one of the employees came out to check everyone in and handed out bottles of cold water which was great as it was almost 90 degrees outside in full sunlight. We boarded and were asked to sit inside while they got underway. One of the shipmates gave a safety talk and then we were free to go outside. The boat moves along at a pretty good pace, every now and then it slows for tug boat traffic. You get to see the industries that are along the ship channel. There are lots of big ships and also small ones. Some are loading or unloading, others are being repaired or a clean coat of paint. The shipmates serve coffee for the adults on the way and after turning around after about 45 minutes they offer cold water and soft drinks. There are so many photo opportunities so take lots of pictures. You are asked to go inside while they secure to the dock, the air conditioning feels great. Then you are on your way. The entire crew was so nice, they were helpful and friendly and could answer questions. Please, if you plan to take children, keep them under control. While not dangerous, there are things to watch for so you don't trip and the doors for the cabin are very heavy and hard to open and shut quickly so a child could easily get hurt. The tour guides are very informative So getting their was a challenge, I followed my GPS and still wasn't able to go straight there. I would say look at the direction on the site and follow those. I completely missed the turn and had to circle around a bit to find.

On the other side of 99 as of right now HEB is being built in Bridgeland so we won't have to go out of the neighborhood so I love that, As well as other commercial buildings it so much to see and do here. There's schools, churches, a gas station will definitely update in the future.

Surprised my wife with a helicopter tour for her birthday. The location was easy to get to at West…read moreHouston Airport and the pre-flight preparation process is simple (which I really just watching a 5-minute information video). The helicopter is small (it can only fit two passengers in the back in addition to the two front seats for the pilot(s), so you will definitely feel all the wind vibrations/turbulence. However, the noise isn't that loud (even without the ear protection). There is also no air conditioning, so it can get hot in the summer time, although there is still air flowing through from the spaces in between the windows/doors and the flights are no more than 20 minutes no matter which route you book, making it more than manageable. All that being said it was a great first time experience for us, even though we were unable to do the downtown tour that we had originally booked because of the flight restriction due to the Astros game (don't book downtown tours during any Astros/Rockets/Dynamo game because they won't be able to fly there). We amended to a "Galleria" tour instead, which was still nice for us because we flew over the watwrwall park where we got engaged. The pilot was nice and answered all our questions. They also took plenty of pictures of us (which you did have to pay for if you wanted) and we were able to take our own pictures as well. The biggest negative I noticed was that they didn't clean/disinfect the seats or headset in between tours which I feel is a must especially during the summer when people get sweaty. Otherwise I recommend it for first timers who want the helicopter experience. It's not cheap for the short duration it is, but the memory is well worth it.
