Timothy Mikula is a joke. I should have followed my initial gut feeling but I didn't. For starters…read moreour first appointment he seemed great and seemed like he truly cared. I got him the retainer 2 weeks after due to Christmas time and being a single mom things can get tight. Once I dropped the check off I spoke briefly with him again. He seemed clueless and stated different things then he had the first appointment. It was like he would say anything in the intial appointment. More issues I had. He NEVER responded to emails! Not once. He didn't even keep our appt time the day before we met with the opposing counsel. I had to call him two hours the day of to confirm what we would discuss. So we get to the appt & he is completely unorganized! Couldn't even find his own pen. I had to provide him documents that I had sent via email to him but he didn't print off or bring. He didn't bring up half the things we discussed about. I even brought it to his attention and he acted as if he had. It was a nightmare! The opposing counsel was way better. I recommend Martin Ulferts any day of the week! He is superb. So after the meeting I fired Timothy Mikula. He did nothing for me. All he had filed was an appearance. Terrible representation. So total time put in was tops 5 hours and that's being nice. I go and pick up billing so I can get the remainder of my retainer and to my surprise he put in his billing 2.5 hours drafting a document that he didn't even file or show me!!!! He also put 1.5 reviewing Blake's tax returns. Wtf. Amongst buffing other times. I am livid. He is a thief in my mind. I worked in two law firms and I know how billing works and how long it takes to draft documents. The man is a liar and doesn't know what he is doing when it comes to child custody or support. (He didn't even calculate support correctly. They had to fix it!) Awful awful awful.

I contacted her office going on almost 3 years ago now. Told her my story and she was going to help…read moreme and my girls out! Told her what I had been through and my ex's attorney and she said that we would get everything straightened out. I paid her the retainer, and since then I have had 2 meetings with just her and I, then 1 meeting with my ex and his attorney. Nothing has changed and I feel she did not earn the $ I gave her. She never does what she says she is going to do. Never returns calls or emails. She acts and talks to your face like you and your situation matters but it does not. Now I am out the $ and nothing has been done. I can not afford another lawyer and so I am afraid that I am just screwed. She is not worth your money. It has been almost 3 years and she has done nothing to deserve the $ I paid her. (my 3 or 4 meetings I have had with her did not even total 3 full hours
