This is one of the first reviews I have posted such is my disappointment with New Law, Cardiff…read more New Law were appointed to handle a very important and personal matter, the entire experience has been truly woeful, emails remain unanswered not just for days and weeks, but months (and the months delay was from their complaints department who set out their deadline for a response). I look forward to the conclusion of my matter and never having to deal with New Law again.

I was involved in a non-fault car accident back in February. My insurance company advised I should…read morespeak with New-Law. Probably the biggest mistake of my life Early on in the claims process their servers went down, zero communication, zero support, couldn't speak to a human, they deleted a post on LinkedIn after I commented asking for an update and others followed. After months of radio silence they reached out to me with my medical documents which they asked me to validate & return. I did so the same day and waited another 6 weeks without any acknowledgement they'd received the forms back. I called and spoke with (apparently I'm not allowed to use names), she told me she was going to check the box where everyone's letters get thrown into apparently. She found them and confirmed on e-mail. I replied asking how long it would have taken them to get to it if I hadn't e-mailed and have been completely ignored ever since. When you've dealt with the stress of a car accident which wasn't your fault, the last thing you need is the people who are meant to be helping you make the situation worse If you can give yourself on gift today, don't use New Law.

Principle Law is a firm of Solicitors and Higher Court Advocates that deal with civil matters... so…read morewe're not talking criminal cases here! What they actually specialise in is commercial and personal legal matters. A friend of mine consulted one of the solicitors at this practice a while back about what he could do about being laid off. He felt that he had a case for unfair dismissal because the company he worked for let him go as part of their efforts to make cut backs, but continued to employ colleagues who had worked for the company for less time. He was given a free half hour session to discuss the matter and found that he was given all of the advice that he needed without needing to book a further appointment. It was ultimately decided that he had no grounds for a case as he did not possess the same skills and experience as his colleagues, and this was the most likely cause of them being retained. I think that the fact that solicitors offer free advice to people like my friend is wonderful. He would not have been able to afford to pay for it otherwise. Here's a list of the areas that Principle Law covers: Commercial: Employment and disputes: This includes offering advice on employment law, as well as dispute reconciliation and advocacy where possible, leading to litigation and dispute resolution if diplomacy doesn't work. Business start ups: Offering the client advice on how to register the business, e.g. as a limited company, sole trader or a partnership etc. Contractual issues, including the method by which a company decides to trade with other companies etc etc.. Banking issues and insolvency Health and Safety Licensing Personal matters: Individual employment issues (e.g. unfair dismissal, salary disputes etc.) Immigration Appeals Wills and Probate Personal Insolvency
