This is a very nice library especially for a community/town of its size. It recently went through a…read morerenovation (although I'm not sure what it looked like prior as I hadn't moved to the area yet). The librarians are incredible helpful and kind. I had used the library previously as a place to work and just opened a library card; they were extremely accommodating and patient when it came to proof of address as they told me that personal mail was no longer accepted. I was able to get one with minimal issues and they also included a little welcome pamphlet with information about where everything is located etc. The building itself is clean and well-maintained. If I had one "complaint" it's that the study rooms are often occupied but I'm glad to see people utilizing the library - and there are plenty of them! It's in a great spot in DTP and also has ample parking. Also, they have free feminine products in the bathroom which I was (pleasantly) surprised to see. Highly recommend this library and will absolutely be back.

I recently officially moved to Farmington Hills…read morebecause my husband lived here (he had bought a house here before we met), and therefore I switched from my home Clawson library to this one. Overall this is a really nice, modern library. Huge space overall, with lots of computers, it seems, and a big kids/YA section too. The bathrooms are a bit old school / high school-ish, with tiny stalls. I usually stop by here when I have a book or two on hold, and the hold area inside is easy to find ... they also have an outdoor locker area of sorts you can use. For returns, there's an outdoor slot if you don't want to go into the library, but it's a bit hidden - it's on the side of the building closest to the USPS building across the street (East side of building, I believe, then). Overall, very nice library, I kinda just wish the walk from the parking lot to the entrance was shorter, especially in winter.

They automatically renew your books if you haven't returned them twice. I'm loving this library and kicking myself for not getting a card sooner. Top notch service here. The Northville District Library is a place where I know I will find a workspace that is conducive for productivity or a cozy environment where I can stroll while looking for the latest read. Librarians were available if needed and one team member provided insight when I inquired about a particular resource. The books and movies within the Northville collection is quite vast which was exciting to explore. The check-out system is straight forward. A variety of seating options are available on all levels of the library where individuals or groups are likely to find a spot to gather. My favorite is the fireplace area! Parking lot is spacious and easy to navigate.

I often visit Northville District Library for a quiet place to read and do work. The librarians are friendly, and the reading and studying spaces are clean and get lots of natural light. I like that there are study rooms for both large groups as well as for one person or two people that can be reserved for up to two hours. Other libraries only have study rooms for groups and have the right to kick out one person using the room. Northville Library is small compared to other cities, but it's inviting, quiet, and relaxing. I prefer it to other libraries in the area.

The room was very large and the doors were mostly soundproof, which was good because we had a lot of little kids attending the party too, LOL (who were a bit loud). I did use the family bathroom next door to it, at one point - it's very cute, with a tiny toilet for kids and a regular-sized one for adults. Unfortunately it did smell pretty badly, which is why this reviews is a 4-star one and not 5-star. The layout of the library reminded me a bit of the WB library (main branch, on Walnut Lake Rd) and it's a very large building. Overall it looked very nice.

The Wixom Public Library is a modern, well apportioned library…read more The librarians here are experts at communication, library science and customer service.  They take an active part in the community and involve themselves in the daily operations and routines of the library. The building is attractive and easy to get into .  Once inside the library is laid out in a logical fashion and it is relatively easy to get around and find and use the materials available. The place is suitable for handicapped access.  The librarians are pleasant.  The place is kept neat and clean and the materials are orderly and easily traversed. There is plenty of parking outside.  The parking lot is well lit and kept clean and clear throughout all seasons.  This is definitely a place for research, learning and getting work done for children, teens and adults.  They have plenty of entertainment materials for all ages as well.

Many activities are for all ages, from book reading clubs, to art projects to children story time. If you read their flyers, there's always something for everyone; gardening, crafts, movies, and so on. I can't recommend this library high enough. They are really trying to connect with and be of service to their neighborhood. I've gotten involved in books, crafts, lectures, movies, etc. that I never would have considered before. And I've met friendly people with the same interests. Good job, Fowlerville Public Library!
