If wish I could give J&W more than 5 stars! All the previous great reviews already said it all…read more I LOVE the place, the people, their down to earth attitude and honesty. A great example is the reason I started going there and will as long as I live here and will enthusiastically recommend others to as well. My Subaru had an annoying rattle. Place I took it to said it was the heat shield and would need to be replaced for about $700-800 parts & labor!! My SIL was a mechanic and told me to get them to just spot weld it. Shop said it was past being able to do that. Neighbor recommended J&W and will forever grateful. They spot welded it and charged me $28! No that's not a typo. Over time Ive had to take it back for the rattling and they have tightened screws or welded it. The time finally came when it was no longer practical to keep fixing it as it was going to continue to rattle. There are 10 heat shields all together on a Subaru. J&W replaced them all for less in parts & labor than the original place wanted to charge me for one! THANK YOU J&W!! YOU ARE LITERALLY THE BEST!!!!

My brakes work worse having brand new pads And rotors than it with the original ones that wore out. When I tried to have a conversation about this, they were defensive and told me that I could get new pads and bring them back and they could put those on instead. I took it to another shop. Turns out the kid didn't put them on right. They are overpriced liars; $700 for labor, and I brought all of my own parts . Avoid the shop at all costs.

Great service and no games from an Awesome and more than fair mechanic!! To start,, its very…read moredifficult finding an intelligent, knowledge and skilled mechanic for German vehicles, including the Porsche I own. The owner also saved me a significant amount on replacing control arms, CV boots and engine/transmission mounts - all of which I knew needed replacing. The control arms had seem some wear/tear over the years - particularly since they had been exposed to salt roads up north. It was worth the 2 1/2 week to get a repair done the correct way, honestly and without up charging. I will definitely skip the dealerships moving forward! Side Note: Initially I brought the vehicle to Sanders Automotive before I knew of Automotive Solutions. At Sanders Auto (my "old friend" there previously from Chapel Hill Tire, took my car in. Since I know just enough about vehicles to diagnose it I feel fairly confident when I bring it into the mechanic. When I saw "B" I knew it was going to get interesting and sure enough it did. I was told that the vibration went away if I hold the steering wheel (LOL) and that the only thing wrong was the CV Boot had ripped. They definitely missed the engine/tranmission mounts as well as the failed control arm. But its a blessing in disguise as it lead me to Automotive Solutions :)

I dropped the car off the day before, the owner gave me his truck as a loaner. Was expecting 2-3 days service. To my surprise replacement the clutch and dual mass flywheel took 1 day. It was pricey, but an Xdrive requires the removal of the transfer box and front axle. Made me repeat customer
