After dinner a DJ played music on an upstairs, open air deck before the fireworks started. Anyone in the area can obviously see the show so you don't need to be on the boat but why not. We also ordered the shrimp and crab dip which was just okay. The shrimp had the texture and warmth of being microwaved for too long they were rubbery, flavorless, and disappointing. The bread served with the dip was very hard, difficult to eat, and made a huge mess. While on the cruise we ordered two cocktails that were very delicious. I just can't remember the names at the moment, but I'll update my review if I do. The yacht itself is beautiful, large, elegant, and spacious. From all the windows you're able to enjoy the incredible views and breathtaking scenery throughout the cruise which is definitely my favorite part. The reason I'm rating this experience three stars is because of the rude, dismissive, and aggressive attitude of the staff and supervisor when it came to receiving our prepaid food and redeeming our parking voucher through the Landry's Select Club program, which has been listed online for years. The supervisor treated us with the utmost disrespect and didn't give us an opportunity to explain nor have a conversation about the situation at hand. Instead, she repeated inaccurate information against what was posted online and acted as if we were asking her to pay for the parking voucher out of her own pocket. Including that what later made the experience even more uncomfortable was that she stood across from us at the bar and openly discussed us in a rude manner, which made the remainder of our cruise unpleasant. Would I charter this yacht again? Maybe. The yacht itself is beautiful, the views are unforgettable, and some of the food and drinks were great. However, the poor customer service left a lasting impression that makes me uncomfortable and unsure if we would return.

I went with 7 friends, you enter at Gate 8 off of Clinton Drive, just tell the security guard you are there for the tour. There is a nice plaza to wait at right next to the boats. The parking lot is safe; let's face it, the only folks getting in have to pass security! A bit before 10 am one of the employees came out to check everyone in and handed out bottles of cold water which was great as it was almost 90 degrees outside in full sunlight. We boarded and were asked to sit inside while they got underway. One of the shipmates gave a safety talk and then we were free to go outside. The boat moves along at a pretty good pace, every now and then it slows for tug boat traffic. You get to see the industries that are along the ship channel. There are lots of big ships and also small ones. Some are loading or unloading, others are being repaired or a clean coat of paint. The shipmates serve coffee for the adults on the way and after turning around after about 45 minutes they offer cold water and soft drinks. There are so many photo opportunities so take lots of pictures. You are asked to go inside while they secure to the dock, the air conditioning feels great. Then you are on your way. The entire crew was so nice, they were helpful and friendly and could answer questions. Please, if you plan to take children, keep them under control. While not dangerous, there are things to watch for so you don't trip and the doors for the cabin are very heavy and hard to open and shut quickly so a child could easily get hurt. The parking lot wraps amongst all facilities. There are several entrances with direct access to almost all facilities. The biggest event with all facilities at NRG Park (except Astrodome) is the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show between February and March. It sure will get crowded. Parking is at a premium.

Our Family Was Displaced for FIFA -- Even with a Signed Agreement…read more We planned our 2026 Family Reunion at this hotel. Signed the contract. Received the booking link. Shared it with our entire family. We were in the middle of collecting payments when we received a call saying everything was canceled because FIFA is coming to Houston. Our dates have been set for four years. The hotel knew that. We already printed, posted, and shared the lodging information. To be told "Your block is canceled, you should consider changing your event dates or moving to Clear Lake" was shocking. Changing the dates would disrupt hundreds of people. Moving the hotel 30+ minutes away makes no sense for our elders or our family events, all located in Houston's Historic Third Ward. Hilton chose profit over people, plain and simple. But most importantly--they treated a signed agreement like it meant nothing. This was unprofessional, dismissive, and a huge disruption to our planning. Future guests should be aware.
