For years I was a dental phobic and really struggled with dread and fear whenever I went to a dentist. Then I found Baxter Dental through the recommendation of a friend. From that first appointment onward I got a bit more at ease every time I went there. After about 2 years I came to realize that I was not going to get hurt there, that everything was explained in detail before any procedures were conducted, and that my concerns would be addressed at every turn. Employees remember me, ask about my family, and my job. I realize that many things are recorded on my chart but they take the time to look up the smallest details like a particularly sensitive tooth etc. and make sure that it is numbed as needed for my comfort. However, if they late cancel your appointment they aren't accommodating for a re-schedule. Unless you can re-arrange your life expect to be several months out--as in at the time of your next cleaning. As a professional myself if I have to late cancel someone due to unforeseen circumstances I make sure to go above and beyond to accommodate a re-schedule that is convenient for the person because I value the time they set aside. I guess I should always remember that not everyone has that same level of professionalism.

Dr Andersen and crew have always been friendly and professional. They provide wonderful care. At 68 years old, I've been to a number of dentists over the years. Dr Andersen and staff are the best! I'd like to add that yesterday an old crown that had been placed by a prior dentist fractured and chipped off. I called Artisan Dental last evening to see if I could get in today. I got a return call at 7:15 this morning, was in their chair at 9 AM, and was done with a new crown at 11:15 AM. Thank you so much Rochelle, Dr Rehermann, and Cassie for such speedy, kind, and professional service. I have no idea how people could have had negative experiences. After going at least twice a year for 8 years, I've always been treated exceptionally well. I had confirmed yesterday that this appointment was for a cleaning only! They pull this crap every time, and then I get billed over and above my insurance coverage. The last actual exam lasted about 4 minutes. I have no upper teeth and only 12 remaining lowers, but still get charged the same for a cleaning, which I understand, but don't feel is right. Dentistry is the last biggest medical scam out there. Now, I met the young Dr. Chitwood for the first time, today. What an arrogant individual he is! After telling me he wouldn't let the hygienist clean my teeth unless he was going to also do an exam, keep in mind I had this done in late December when I didn't get the cleaning I had scheduled because they'd had a hygienist quit, I tore off the bib I'd been wearing for 15 plus minutes and proceeded to leave. He followed me out sll the while making remarks, taunting me, and then remarked about there is the door. It must be awful to work for someone suffering from Napoleon syndrome, as he clearly does. No wonder it is so hard to get in for a cleaning at this practice. My best advice, find a dentist who accepts whatever insurance you currently have, and ask yourself why dentists don't post the costs fort their services, or work a full day on Fridays, ever.
