I have been going to this salon for over three years. However, in that time the great staff have left and service has continued to deteriorate to the point that I could not recommend this salon. On my last to one visit I spent nearly five hours, all of which were a disappointing waste of time. The highlights were none existent ... in fact my hair looked darker and the cut was lopsided with no layers as I had asked for. Although, friendly the stylist really had absolutely no idea what she was doing. I returned to the salon and expressed my disappointment and was told, by the stylist who looked like she was about to nip to the corner shop rather than go to a days work in a hair salon, I would have to pay again to rectify the situation as it was over a month. My visit was not over a month but the appointment would be as they had no availability. Against, my better judgement I returned for the appointment. Being near to Christmas I was hoping they could rectify the situation. The stylist in fairness did do her best but apparently the time slot I was booked into meant she couldn't do very much and didn't want to add more product to my hair within such a short time frame. However, the younger assistant couldn't have been more rude if she tried. Her persona and attitude was appalling and I really feel customer service is not her forte. During my appointment I witnessed a few rather disappointed faces and over head the phrase "it was an absolute s**t show from one of the stylists in response to a. customer's appointment. Booked an appointment with the Director who spent about 3 minutes with me. Still paid the director's prices, however. My hair as washed by someone who looked about 18 while the director stood at the sink beside me chatting away to another client. The director spent at most, about 3 minutes trimming my wet hair. Considering I was only there for a trim and to tidy my fringe which is growing out, he managed to make a mess of it. Once he had finished cutting my hair he moved straight over to the woman beside me where he stood and chatted while the young girl dried my hair (even though I was paying for him to do it). My hair was then dried by the 18 year old who burnt the head off me. She kept holding the hairdryer at one spot close to my head. The 18 year old also curled my hair once dry. Despite this, I still paid the full Directors price for cut & blowdry of £37. Not a particularly friendly salon either. The only good thing about my experience was the beautician who seemed pleasant. I will definitely not be back. I don't understand how this could possibly be an award winning salon. You will pay premium prices for a service that is no better than anywhere else in Ballymena. Quite possibly the worst haircut I have ever had in my life. I was looking for a hairdresser close to where I worked as I had recently moved and my previous hairdresser was 40 miles away. I looked at the website, read the reviews so I thought I was going to a credible hairdresser. As it was my first time at the salon and I was getting a restyle I asked for the best person to cut my hair and was told that it would be Simon who would be cutting it. I showed him the style that I was looking for from a picture that I took in, and he asked me what I thought it looked like at the back?? When he was cutting my hair he looked like he lacked the confidence to do it properly. To be honest he looked distracted the whole time I was in the shop. I ended up having to travel 40 miles to the shop that usually cuts my hair, and my hairdresser was so shocked at what she saw. She didn't know what he had done to the back of my hair as it was so blunt and lacked any shape, I told her that he had used a shaver at the back she said that was very lazy and that any decent hairdresser would have cut it with scissors. Thought the salon lacked any personality, I didn't feel very welcome and definitely could not recommend it to anyone. My friends told me I should have went back to complain but to be honest he made such a mess of it, I wouldn't trust them to wash my hair never mind fix the mess that they made of it. read more

Really fancy place now they have moved from the town. A couple of downsides are the general feeling that you're almost part of an assembly line if you're getting some sort of treatment like colouring- colour by someone, wash by someone else, cut by someone else again and finally styled again by a different person. Quite pricey too. It's a shame it feels a bit impersonal and none of the stylists really know you unless you're really regular (which I couldn't afford) read more
