Rodrigo actually arrived a bit early and fixed the garage door within 30 minutes! He was friendly, respectful and knowledgeable. You can tell he has done it for years! Rodrigo double checked everything to make sure it was working properly and I feel like their pricing was reasonable (I did receive other quotes with similar pricing). Don't just walk away - RUN. My gate stopped working, and I called them based on the good reviews. They scheduled an appointment for the next day. So far, so good. But, 30 minutes before the appointment, they called to inform me it was $200 to just look at it (15 inspection), even though they advertise FREE ESTIMATES. Big time liars and scammers. My gate needed batteries replaced, (2 at $25 each on Amazon). Their price? $350. I also needed a new maglock, ($250 on Amazon), their price? $990. You can do the math, but in short, they charge $800 an hour (and proudly feel good about that). Decide for yourself if you wish to be ripped off at that magnitude. read more

Very happy with this business. I put out a service request on Yelp and not only were they the quickest to respond but they got a technician out on the top of the hour of my request window of 12-2! The technician did have to educate me a lot before I accepted the work to be done but basically, I had a busted spring. I was told DO NOT TOUCH THE SPRING! They are very dangerous and not something you should try to DIY. I never knew so much about garage doors. I feel I got a great deal and a three yr warranty on my service which is nice in case something happens again. Efrian, my technician was fast and kind. He also informed me about other things that could use updating so I don't have problems in the future but was careful to not oversell me, as I was already feeling overwhelmed from being trapped in my garage! Sent a request through Yelp on a Sunday and Houston Garage Doors and Gates replied right away and the first one to provide me a quote and details of work to be done. Gaston came the next morning and look at the problem, fixed the problem, and recommend new wheels and support as my garage door is old and banged up. I would say price is fair base on Google search. We called them on Sunday. They arrived in less than four hours. They began working on the gate and finished on Monday. I am pleased that this is a woman operated and owned business. I am, however, disappointed that we weren't advised in advance that there would be additional charges for them coming on a Sunday. We could have waited until Monday.
